Problem...

It appears that every other post I make quickly disappears and does not come back. This is very annoying. Many of my posts are a bit lengthy and I hate having to re-type them...

Hey, wait, maybe I have seen you before, lol.
I haven't noticed it here, but that's been happening to me on another forum. What browser are you using?

This is probably why.
FAQ thread wrote:Why aren't my posts appearing?
In order to cut down on ad bots, new users are monitored and suspicious posts are filtered pending moderator approval. If you are a new member and your posts seem to disappear, do not repeatedly submit – most likely your post will be accepted within a few hours and you will be on your way to becoming a regular member. Meanwhile, try not to appear suspicious by avoiding lists, images, and links.

I am using Firefox 2, though I doubt that will affect it. This an internal problem, and my browser would not affect the website like that. It interprets the code, but does not change it. Ho ho, perhaps you have at that.
That is quite unnerving. None of my posts have come back, and it has been days. I do not believe that any of my posts contained links though some may have had images, and none of them contained inappropriate material. Is that the mods are slow, or the system is glitching? I have received no notices regarding these posts, that is why I posted here. This post as well will most likely disappear as soon as I submit it...
Never mind. This one appears to have stayed. Very odd...

I don't think it's a browser thing ^^ It's more of a forum thing
All new users are monitored for "such" reasons reasons Rushia had presented ^ ^
Just keep posting then you'll be set

But my posts are gone, and they took time to write! And there have been posts after them. Argh. Mods need to get around to letting them through...

Don't worry, I'm sure they are stored. Just keep posting. I think they will show up after you have.. 25 post (?). If nothing happens after that point. Then you should contact a mod, but I'm sure everything is fine

Calm down. The mods have lives too. If you continue having problems, PM Mithrandir (sp) as he deals with all the tech stuff on CAA.

You'll have to be patient with us--many of us are very busy and don't always have time to check the boards. We're
quite happy to help; just understand that this isn't a paying job (I have two of those already XD) and we don't stay on the forums 24/7 checking for moderated posts.

Yeah, point taken, sorry. I was just thinking that those in power should be as if not more active than those who depend on them. But I guess we can't all be as obsessive as me. Sorry to sound arrogant.

Given that there are many many many MANY more active members than total mods (some of which hardly if ever come on here anymore due to busy schedules), it's difficult for them to fix every single problem right away. The mods do a lot of work behind the scenes that regular members don't see.
Have you considered that the posts that are disappearing were deleted because they would've sparked a huge debate?

This post is meant to be funny so don't freak out or anything. XD But seriously we mods do have lives outside of CAA. XDDD

You say these posts disappear - does that imply they were live at some point? What exactly do you see after you post? Can you post a screen shot?
Also, I've found that random internet blips can sometimes cause stuff to disappear. If I'm submitting a long post, I always copy it before submitting.

No, I cannot get a screenshot until it happens again. What happens is it appears, and then I go to edit it or something, and it's gone. Usually within seconds of being posted.
As for whether they would spark a huge debate, possible, but they were hardly controversial. Some of them were comments regarding the ethics of certain animes/mangas and such, but I was not attacking in any way. But it's happened before... My presence often causes an uproar. Never figured out what it was that set people off...
