Oh yeah I saw that...so now we can say to Pluto "Hey your no longer a planet but now all the other celestial bodies in your class are called Plutoids...so your like the poster boy for them...the big cheese...well not that big...but you get the idea." Yeah, Pluto will really appreciate that...

It doesn't matter because Sailor Pluto is the master of time so she can just use the Time Gate to go back to when Pluto was still a planet.

For a second I thought this thread was gonna be about some jacked-up new Sailor Moon re-release or something. XD

She'll end up being one of those people who are always living in the past. Literally.

Well it's pretty much assumed that she exists in all time periods simultaneously since she's the guardian of the Time Gate.
Crap now I'm showing my Sailor Moon nerdiness.

XD Well, I haven't been a Sailor Moon nerd in a long time so I forgot this important detail.
But if I were Sailor Pluto I'd pull a Dead Scream on all the scientists who keep changing things, XD.

I'd assumed live action was involved somehow (yes, I know it's been done before).

It matters not what that article says. Setsuna will always be a Member of the Outer Senshi. To Me the name Sailor Pluto will always remain the same.

Only God truly knows the true names of these planets, dwarf planets, stars, etc.
Sailor Pluto will be needing a new profession

Their names are whatever we give them. Remember, Adam was charged with naming the animals in the Garden, not God. Thus, similarly, WE are the ones who are charged with naming the planets, stars, and whatever, not God. :p

True, but I thought that was for only on Earth . You can't really pay attention to me anyway atm, suffering from Cabin Fever
.

The sum total of my response is "Okay." Really, if they think that's a better classification we can all move on and realize it doesn't matter immensely.
Meanwhile, I don't think any further damage can be done to Sailor Moon:

Haha! I did too.
This reminds me of something I saw in a facebook group about Pluto no longer being a planet.
Basically, eight of the sailor soldiers (Chibi Moon isn't in it) are together in a semicircle, with Sailor Pluto standing outside of them. Under them, it reads: "The International Astronomical Union's decisions had far more affect than initially intended." Sailor Moon is looking to her right, saying "sooo, me and the girls have been talking..."

This makes no sense considering that the Moon isn't a planet. Also Mamoru is the protector of Earth (he is in effect "Sailor Earth") so he should be in the circle and Sailor Moon shouldn't.
Also you don't need to have a planet to be a Senshi, the Sailor Starlights show that pretty well, and don't forget the Asteroid Senshi (Juno, Pallas, Vesta, and Ceres).
Okay now my Sailor Moon nerdiness is shining forth like a towering beacon of nerdence.

I didn't expect this to be taken so seriously. Then again. I'm not overly bothered by the fact that they're renaming and reclassifying stuff. The thought of Sailor Moon crossed my mind and I thought it was funny.

I'm not surprised, Nate. I mean, you are a human encyclopedia. *pats him on the back*
