I stumbled across this video on youtube. Interestingly enough, Cell phones use a radio frequency range that is vary close to the frequency all microwaves use. It dose rase some interesting questions about the safety of using a cell phone say in a crowded elevator.

I'm calling fake, but the general idea is possible.

Waves (from cellphones or radio transmitters) carry quite a bit of energy that can hit an object, resonate therein, and transform into other forms of energy such as heat. This is why we don't have wireless power transfer (getting electricity from the powerplant down your street); it would fry all the little birdies who cross these fields of energy (among other things).

But, when a kernel of corn takes a minute or so to pop under the highly energetic environment of a microwave, I doubt that 4 cellphones could do it alone in under 20 seconds.
