and who knows? Bugs and insects could potentially be pretty tasty...
Land Shrimp
I saw on TV once a segment where a girl made some chocolate-chip cricket cookies...they actually looked pretty good. I'd be willing to give them a try...

probably because we all see as having bugs in our houses, restaraunts and stuff just creeps us out and is unsanitary.
I for one am not totally oposed to the idea...but then again, I just think of the wiggliness of the things and I just get creeped out too XD

Re bugs: Ew. The only insects I am OK with are butterflies. And bombardier beetles. And fireflies. And maybe lady bugs. All the rest, krrrrrk!
Re Chibi's drawing: lol. You might want to move the colon there, though. It caused me to do a double take on the picture.

Also, bugs are disgusting, and I don't care what other cultures do, I will not eat them.
"When in Rome" does not apply here. XDD

I've had the opportunity to eat a mopane worm (see bigsleepj's post), but in the end I couldn't go through with it.

Remove the appendages and I'd try them. I don't want to eat legs. I won't eat shrimp that aren't cleaned, either. There's nothing wrong with it, though. To each his own.
Same goes for goofy laws in the US that says people can't eat horses or dogs.

Okay, I'll eat the raw octopus, squid and fishes . . . but NO on bugs. I'll pass. XD
Some things are not meant to be eaten.

Does your not eating bugs policy have anything to do with your fear of bugs?

Man you've got that right. Especially rocks. I tried to eat some of those and they were terrible! I'm going to sue the people that make that so-called "rock candy" for misleading me!

Hey! I do not fear bugs, except for spiders
and some beetles XD
*is the girl who picked up a centipede to save it from her younger sister*
But, I do have my limits

There are much worse things that people of other countries can eat than bugs.
Seriously, in comparison, I think bugs would be pretty tasty. Seem like they'd have good texture.
BUT NOT ROACHES. Ants or crickets.

I've eaten chicken feet and goose intestines. Bugs are only the next level.

I remember reading somewhere that the average person eats ~80 spiders in their sleep over the course of their lifetime.
