Post your area pic

There are lots of different types of environments in the world, and we don't all live in the same type. So I think it's interesting to see what else there is in the world.
So the idea is that you post a photo of around your region/area/community (possibly of the current season only?). Since there are many things in your area, multiple photos would be allowed too. If possible, also mention the vague region where you took it (state, country, etc).
It's your own responsibility to not upload photos which may have geographically identifiable signs or whatever...
I took these earlier today. In the drought-affected South Australia.
People's lawns are also dry.
OMG GREEN!!!1

Wow. All of the pictures so far are in complete contrast to my area. I will post pictures when I get a chance to wander about with a borrowed camera.

Wow, those photos are excellent!
The city! It's not usually that hazy...
In the city - it's right next to where my university is.

This is a picture of the Old State Capital and Repentance Fountain in Downtown Baton Rouge, LA. One of my favorite pics and one of my oldest ones. I don't think I have this camera anymore. Ah well... If you want to see my full gallery of pictures from my hometown, here's a link to my DeviantArt Gallery. Enjoy! http://khakibluesocks.deviantart.com/gallery/

This is the Houston, TX skyline. I don't live in Houston, but since I'm within an hour of it, it's still considered the "Houston area".
I haven't found any pictures yet of my town that don't immediately reveal where I live. Trust me, there are some landmarks around here that would definitely give it away...

Since I don't any better way to do this, I'll have to did it this way. Also, my camera battery died. I'll get some more photos later.
1. An empty lot on the other side of my apartments lot. This one of two. The other one is twice this big. I took a picture of this one because I use it as a short cut.
2. Next to the library, on the street next to mine. It's where the short cut leads.
3. One of the many, many flower beds on campus. This one is outside the engineering buildings.

Nice, neat tulips.
This is outside our engineering building.
The library is also the building that has the four columns there...

That's a really nice picture.
I have a recent one to match it. XD
Incidentally, that's my university in the lower left corner there...
