A'right. A little while ago, I went browsing 2-ch. With me, I had little more than an image blocker, a Japanese-English Firefox attachment, and minimal knowledge of a few kana. I wasn't expecting to find what I found, but what I found was some BEAUTIFUL Shift_JIS art.

I've been interested in ASCII art for some time now (See the link in my sig? That's some ASCII I made myself! ^_^;; ). I don't really know much about this Shift_JIS stuff, only that it won't save in notepad like Patamon-style ASCIIs.

If anyone has any info on this stuff, of some other Shift_JIS art, please share!
Attached are 3 specimens I found on my voyage.

That shinji one is amaaaaazing.

I don't know much about ascii art, other than that most pathetic normals like me just use software shortcuts. http://www.jave.de/

Actually, I've never tried the software either, but its there for anyone who's interested.

Very cool Ridley! I was actually just looking around online the other day for ascii art and came across the site http://www.glassgiant.com/ascii/ where you can convert an image into text. I've attached a sample. I'm gonna check out that JavE too, jaems-kun. Though programs that convert images to text are impressive what really impresses me are those people with the patience and skill to make ascii art by hand.
