CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I have a paper to write soon about "social injustice." Sadly, I can't seem to find any good, reliable sources for my topic (ironically, it's about "censorship from the CoS").

I need some new, good ideas (or reliable sources for the old topic). I don't even care if it's a ridiculous topic ("Kangaroos Have Unequal Rights in Australia!!1one"), as long as I can find reliable sources for it.

Censorship by the Community of Science? Or is that a different CoS entirely? Anyway, some of my own suggestions for topics to write about would include:

1. State-sponsored Terrorism. Many governments, in an effort to maintain the balance of power in their favor, have resorted to employing death squads that target and murder civilian populations. To make matters more controversial, the past and present incarnations of the U.S. funded School of the Americas has been accused of training and supporting the leaders of these death squads in South and Central America.

2. Free Trade/Fair Trade. In the wake of Globalization, the extent to which trade between larger first-world powers actually benefits second and third world powers remains controversial. Many accuse organizations that engage in free trade with exploiting these nations and their people for profit and personal gain while seriously damaging their economies, while others think that in the long run these dealings will ultimately improve these nations and economies. On the flip side, in more recent years more independent trade networks, refered to as "Fair Trade" have begun to appear, which promise that they deal with these peoples in such a way as to give them a fair wage for the labor put into the product.

3. Human trafficing. While in the present times almost all nations have banned slavery, a lucrative multi-million dollar underground industry in trafficking humans (especially children) as sex slaves exists all across the world, even here in the U.S. These human trafficers typically have elaborate networks in place that bribe local officials into turning a blind eye, which can make legal prosecution a very difficult matter.

Social injustice is a huge area to explore, although it is one that is written about extensively. It's just that it is such a vast territory that you'll need to narrow down your focus (e.g. racism, poverty, white slavery, etc, etc). I've also no idea about what "CoS" might be, so if you specifically want help there you'll have to tell us what it is.

A couple of possibilities though. You could focus on successful reformers (e.g. Tommy Douglas, etc) or on a particular problem like one of the ones previously mentioned.

"CoS" in this case would be "Church of Scientology." I'm not really sure about reliable sources for that, though--I actually just wrote a paper for English comparing two articles on the recent protests, gauging reliability. XD I found several reliable news articles about the protests themselves, but the only real information I ran across came from those that were protesting. XD

Does it have to be recent? You could write about WWII Nazi concentration camps, or something similar. That's probably overdone, but it could be a springboard for more ideas. XD

You may be able to get access to an electronic database of academic journals and papers through your local library or school. Those are really useful for 100% reputable, peer-reviewed sources.

You're not going to find a lot of sources that are pretty reliable for what CoS has done. Since there is not too much awareness of their crimes, and that some things (Lisa McPhearson, for example) is not 100% for certain, (Though I do agree that CoS did some evil things here) you're not going to find a lot of information to write about.

Unless you want to do some crazy research, I'd advise switching topics.
