Having a pet (especially after long years) is one of the biggest joys in life imo ^___^. After having a pet for so long, you also have a best friend. I've had my cat for almost 15 years now and she'll be 15 years old in a month :jump:!

Here are some pics of her and one of them is me with her:

So do you have any pets? If so what animals are they, what are their names and how long have you had them?

I have a chihuahua mix (half chi, quarter pom, quarter shitszhu). Her name is Yuki (named after yuki sohma), and she will be 2 this april 1. I have a cockatiel named teo (just determined he is actually a she). I rescued her from a home that had neglected and not meaning to, abused her. So she is very warry of humans, but mainly their hands. I've had her for roughly 3 months now. I am very soon getting a kitten (siamese tabby mix, we think). She is 5 weeks old right now, will pic her up next week sometime. Her name is Esther. I also have a multitude of fish. I bought a couple Female platy's to keep in a tank, figured all females was safest...well I bought a pregnant fish. It had babies a few days after thanksgiving, 3 died 9 survived.

Angel Tifa, your cat looks a bit like one of the cats we have. His name is Telum (Latin for "missile"). He was originally a barn cat but we adopted him when he was a kitten there, about 9 years back.

We also have Ard (explanation), one of four kittens that were born at our house by a stray cat that moved in. The mother and other kittens were given new homes and we kept Ard.

If one spends time with cats (and other animals too, I suppose) you can see how each one is a bit different, with different habits and temperament. They really do become part of the family and are such a blessing.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Diina (which you can see in my avatar) and a tri-colored Welsh Corgi named Missy (who is one of Diina's puppies).

We have two dogs, a crazy cross breed with Alsatian blood -Gina (sounds like Tina) and well... the other (fox terrier) one's name translates into English as "wax crayon". His actual name is a lot cuter though. ;)

We also used to had a border collie called Bounty, but he had to be put down on the 31st Dec of 2007.

I had a cat, Noo (sounds like too), but he died a while back as well. I still miss him, he rocked.

Then occasionally we puppy-sit my sister and brother-in-law's dog, Impy. We had him for about a month when they were on honeymoon/holiday and we had him last weekend and the one before that. So he's part of the family.

Aww I'm very sorry to hear that :(. How old was he when he died if you don't mind my asking? He was very cute though.

Also your dogs are cute ^^.

Agreed. To me they're just like children. When Micah and I move out of his mothers house, we will definitely find a place that will take our pets (dog, cat, bird, and possibly fish at some point). Never, at least not without a fight, would I leave them behind. They are our family. :) and I wouldn't have it any other way. (is exited because I can hardly wait to get my new kitty next week *squeel*)

My brother and I have our own miniature dachshunds. They're practically twins and are the cutest things, but can still get into trouble sometimes. (Like just a few minutes ago, I had to scold mine for trying to eat some food off of our table... so I don't think he's interested in being my "best friend" at the moment, heh. xD)

Mine
My brother's

I also have a black-and-white cat named Keiko, as well as a betta fish named Moana! (Which means "ocean" in Hawaiian.)

I have an 11 year-old lab mix named Shadow. I've had a number of pets over the years, ranging from gerbils to birds to fish, but the only one I have right now is my dog. XD Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of him on my computer yet. XD

I have a chocolate lab named Penny and a black cockapoo named Bailey. I've had Penny since I was four and I think we got Bailey when I was ten. They crack me up, and my dad and I have loads of inside jokes about them.

He was 10, I think. Which apparently is already middle/old age for cats.

Though I myself don't have a pet, my landlord has a golden/basset mix named Samantha (Sam). My apartment is basically a room annexed to the main house and I hang out over there sometimes so I see Sam quite a bit. Also, when I go in or out of my door sometimes Sam's on the other side of the fence just standing there waiting to be petted.
Unfortunately I don't have a picture, but if you're having a hard time imagining what she would look like, let me put it this way: a floppy-eared golden retriever that's built for cruising.

When I was living with my mom we had 3 birds (African Grey, Love Bird, and a Cockatiel), 2 cats, and 1 dog (the cutest Maltese ever). However I moved out of my mom, and into my dads so now I have a gazillion cats.
Okay more like 5. There were 12 at one point (2 cats my dad and stepmom bought, 1 cat that had adopted them, and 9 strays...started off with a mom, dad and two kittens, then more and more kittens kept arriving. However we got the male cats fixed and then all the cats adopted, 2 of which were adopted by my dad)
But I miss my pets at my mom's house T_T Especially my dog.

Sadly I don't have any picture but right now we have two cats.

One mottled black/brown on white lump of a male called Hero. We called him that because he is an absolute plonker often stupid things like chasing his tall or sitting back on his haunches and roll his head around.
The other is a female tortoise shell called Hime, from the Japanese Ohime, which is a formal way of address a princess. She got that name because she has the rather amazing ability to look down her nose whilst looking up at you.

They are both rescue cats that we adopted around March last year.

Aww! I almost named my cat Gigi/Jiji after the one on that movie. XD But she isn't fully black, so it wouldn't work as well...

(So that's why I named her after the orca that was in Free Willy. Yeah, I'm a little too obsessed with dolphins and whales. XD)

I have two cats, 1 dog and Mom has 1 horse ^^ (my fav animal is a cat)

Ginger - A HUGE ball of fluff that's getting on in his years. He just is lazy but we love him. (we just found out a bit ago that he's a neutered male O.o) We rescued him from a farm a few years ago...like wow thats been 3-4 years already. Everyone is alwayz like woah when they first see him.. he's like 15 pounds I swear.

DQ (Dairy Queen) / Felix - Black and white splotched long hair neutered male. He followed my parents home here in town. He was terrified of cars. the poor thing. We later found out that he was my friends mouser(he lived in a grain elevator before) and his real name was Felix. But I still call him DQ. ^^

Bell - Cocker Spaniel/ Border Collie - A birthday present back when I was about 5. ^^. She's getting old but she's still lovable. And she doesn't even bother our cats!!

Coal (aka Christie's Coal Nugget) - Our purebred Morgan gelding that Mom adores with a passion. I like horses its just I don't like riding solo so I don't see him much. (we board him at a friends in the country)

I don't have any pictures of any of my animals right now.. Maybe I'll get out our camera and take some later. ^^

My Gigi isn't all black, but he dose look just like Gigi's sons and daughters at the end of the movie.

Hello,

This is my dog Cyrpuss. He is a German Alsatian, and in Germany he is called "The old style". He has never displayed aggression towards a human being, in fact, I don't think he's capable of it. He will not tolerate other dogs, though, a product of me not knowing how to socialize him properly.

Here he is, right after he jumped onto my bed and plopped down. It was so cute I had to get a picture of it, after which point he said "You're going to take a picture? I'm out of here!" Oh, and that cord is attached to a fur saver choke chain-it was an impromptu way to keep him from going to the neighbors where he ate a 36 lb turkey. The neighbor made me pay for it, and thankfully didn't shoot Cypruss.

See his intent look? That is because I have a stick in my hand. He does 2 things-one is fetch a stick (Or 2x4, or whatever), and the other is tug with whatever item he has fetched.
