There was another College Campus shooting, this time at Northern Illinois University
News Stories from Foxnews and CNN:

22 injured, and 7 dead including the gunman... at latest report.
I...really don't know what to say...except to please keep these families and students in your prayers.
Apparently this is the 4th or 5th act of campus (including high schools) shooting in less than a week...

I trust you mean 22
injured? Because casualties often refers to those who have died in wartime or an accident, you may wish to edit this to injured to be more clear. What miserable tragedy.... I have to listen through Joy Division just to even begin to cope with all this carnage in my mind, especially their "Day Of The Lords" where they scream "Where will it end?!?!" My friend Susan is almost ready to leave the country, and I'm starting to be glad that I was kicked out of college for a semester for poor grades.

^ It is possible to be a casualty without dying. An injury can be considered a casualty.

This is true, but for the sake of clarity its often best not to use it in this fashion.

It is sad to see this, but with what all that has happened in our country these past 15 years alone, it doesn't come as a suprise to me.....
We still live in a world still under the influence of sin.....But honestly, I hope and pray that next time something like this happens there will be people that God can use to either stop it or to protect others.....Not saying no ones ever done that in these situations, it's just u don't really hear much about ppl like that.....

I just saw that on the news while I was at the gym. *Shakes head* When will it end?

What is the deal with this? There must be some reason why all these shootings are happening. (And don't say "video games".)

Fox is now reporting that Kazmierczak was not taking his medication for an unspecified condition and acting erratically in recent weeks.
Of course, it's from Fox, so...y'know...take it with a mountain of salt.

[font="Trebuchet MS"][SIZE="4"][color="RoyalBlue"]This is really getting depressing. Just last week, a Technical College in Baton Rouge had a school shooting. A girl (Student) went into the school, shot two others, then shot herself.

I'm curious as to how much of a concern this is to you.
Caring too much for the video game industry, perhaps? Maybe it's just me.

It wasn't just fox...
CNN, and Yahoo also reported this.

I believe it's the consequences of how we have let our country decline on what is good, and true.We all know that The United States has been a country built on Biblical foundations, and we have let others little by little break that down or cover it.I think we need a revival, and fast.If not, I truly fear Americas future.
We Christian also carry some of the blame, cause many(I include myself)Just go to church, and don't live their lives as the chosen people we are to spread light in this dark world.

When has it ever been okay to let a person lie about something just because people died?
and you know I trust that network more than a few others ^^]
I'm aware of this, but sorry, I can't trust a network who puts on an attorney who has just been to trial for conduct unbecoming his profession (and may soon be permanently disbarred), who constantly lies about everything in cases like this, and calls him a "school shooting expert." It was also nice of Fox News to blame video games when we don't even KNOW if this guy played video games. Yeah, "fair and balanced" my face.
The United States has been a country built on Biblical foundations
Somehow this lie continues to perpetuate itself through the ages. I'm not sure why or how. My assumption is for propaganda purposes.

Actually, the current Unites States government was rooted in secular ideals, trying to escape the religious politics of Europe. Christian population (largely) and Christian founders (Well, some of them), but a religiously indifferent system by design.

Guys...
can we PLEASE NOT DEBATE?! Come on... this is stupid, who cares what people think?
If you have a disagreement...TAKE IT PM.
seriously, this thread should be about the victims of the shootings...not a thread to start arguments about what our country was, or was not founded on.

I can't argue with that I guess.Still,My main argument stands. This would even place more of the blame on Christians,if not all. Heh!I'm sorry if I made it look like an debate or something.

Next time another school shooting occurs, I think my first reply should be "How long before Nate posts another curt reply predicting Jack Thompson blaming video games?"
Or perhaps, "How long before ChristianKitsune/someone else mentions America's spiritual foundations sending Nate into vapors and posting image macros and heaving upside and downside about our secular origins?"
Or how about, "How long before people ignore what actually happened and point fingers at totally absurd red herrings?"
For that last one, I guess "not too long."

For God's sake, just PRAY for the people out there. Forget about videogames or whoever wrote the Constitution. People are dead out there, we should at least do SOMETHING for their loved ones.

I tend to think there's a difference between pointing our liars, and simply caring too much about a certain subject.
Nobody takes Jack Thompson seriously anyway.

After she said it.
Gah, I never know what to say in these threads. It pains me that these sort of headlines have become so commonplace that I've run out of anything new to say. Two days after the tragedy, and how many people who weren't directly affected by this are losing sleep over it? I know this is a broken world, but things like this just shouldn't happen.

I agree. Don't schools have security? How can someone even get a gun past them?
