DFW Hopeless Otakus Thread

Since I noticed on the "Texas anyone?" thread that there are at least a handful of other Metroplex residents and near-misses on this board, I thought I would start an informational thread on Dallas area stuff. No particular rules. If you want to mention a local Christian band or a sketch group or whatever, go ahead.

My opening contribution is a shameless plug for my favorite local Asian store. This occurred to me because I was finishing my last can of Boss Black (Japanese canned coffee) and thinking I need to go stock up.

For "Ramune" soda (those marble-soda things you see in occasional animes), "Boss", good Japanese ingredients (I buy lots of stuff there) decent chop-sticks, or a hot lunch of freshly cooked ramen, teriyaki bowls, beef bowls, croquettes, etc.:

"Kazy's Gourmet Deli", Markville and I-635 (near Greenville Ave exit) in North Dallas.

You can tell 'em Eric the Fred sent you if you want, but they probably won't know who you're talking about.

Sure, why not?

Actually, my nephew considered going to DTS. He also considered SMU for a while. Can't remember where he ended up going. He's a Methodist pastor now.

Well, I would have been living in the DFW area right now, but...well, it's a long story best told another time. Instead, I live in the Oklahoma City metro area. DFW's only about three hours or so from here, so does that count? XD

I'm thinking, it all depends upon whether the thing in OKC is worth telling someone in DFW about (i.e., whether it's worth the drive.) I'll let you be the judge.
