One of the high lighted news item on Yahoo.com thru Reuters News was about those on the Japanese island of Ikitsuki, had for years hid their connection with Christianity and now today faces its loss because the younger people are moving away to the cities and forgetting their faith.

Yes, it's saddening, and almost disturbing. We mustn't forget that Japanese are Yihoshua's children too. I pray that the country will recognize Him and renew their faith.

The latest story on Yahoo.com is about a Japanese man who's family lived in Hawaii had a artificial Christmas tree and moved back to Japan when their father was lost at sea just before the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
He was drafted by the Imperial Army of Japan and became a radio monitor listening to American military radio transmissions. Lost a brother when the atomic bombs were dropped in Japan.
The family had to hid the tree from view when they put it up around Christmas for many years up today where he shows it proudly. The family had attend church in Hawaii before they left. He feels that he is Buddhist but has the feel of being Chirstian.

It's not really all that different from what happens to a lot of Christian youth. They grow up in the church, face a lot of questions/temptations as teens, and sometimes they never look back. Especially at risk are those whose parents are really protective and don't teach their children WHY things are right or wrong, just make arbitrary decisions.

This is unfortunate, hopefully some will come back to Jesus.

Wow, that's so sad...I mean, it's actually very cool to hear an island apparently is pretty Christian, but to hear the new generation is being stubborn? Hopefully those kids don't forget what they were taught...maybe things can still turn out for the better though? On one side of things they may get totally perverted and turn from God, but some of them may in turn make other Japanese interested in Christianity.

Just pray for the best...
