While many at CAA may be looking at the above and going "what?" allow me to explain. Reuben Kee, was a talented athelete and video game remix artist with published works on OC Remix. Thing is, he recently died in a tragic capsizing of his dragon boat at the young age of 23 in Singapore. OC Remixers are generally not the focus of news reports like people such as Knievel, but ironically, given the close relationship between between anime and the video realm many of us may have listened to this artist without even knowing it. That's mostly because they generally don't make headlines or splash their name everywhere, we just enjoy their impressive works of art.

I may be wrong, but I felt that I should post this in case you've listened to this artist. I've listened to a ton of OC Remixes and I wasn't surprised to find that I have in fact listened to many of his works, including:

(From a quick search on OC Remix)
The Place We Knew (Chrono Trigger)
Ascension To Cosmo Canyon (FF7)

If you've gone on OC Remix in the past, you might want to check out his published works. I can't say that I knew him, but it somehow hit a slight chord with me given how many of his songs I've personally enjoyed. I'm sorry that I didn't know enough about remixing in order to have done so, and that I will never get to hear new works from him again. Given his contribution to the video game music remixing, and the high number of individuals I know have listened to the music from OC Remix, I just thought that it was important to share this with you guys. If you have one of his songs in your collection, give it a listen, remembering that it was his gift to us, and that we won't really have the opportunity to listen to new pieces from this artist this side of Heaven.

-God bless you guys,
Pascal

I'm a major OC Remix fan, though I'm not involved in the community there. This kinda gets to me, much for the reasons you mentioned. Ascension to Cosmo Canyon in particular is one of my favorite mixes, despite my general distaste for FFVII.

Yes, his music was amazing. Ryu for Four Pianos, Legend of the Snake and Legend of the Snake 2: Snake versus Dragon are some of his remixes that I foudn on my mp3 player. He did soem absolutely amazing work, and alot of it can be found at reubenkee.com, or somewhere linked form there, I can't recall.

He had amazing talent, and it's a shame he had to die at such a young age.
