Well I was just curious as to where everyone worked and what they did. and also What there dream job/career would be. Also do you enjoy what you are doing?
As for me I used to work as a cook at the compass rose it was really fun until my boss sold the place. I was going to work for the pizza patio (the people that bought the place) but they took too long to re open so when i was down to $4 in my bank account after bills i decided i needed to find something new. And now here i am working as a cashier at walmart. I make decent money about $3 more per hour then what i was making as a cook, even though i had more fun doing that. the pay is about equal since i use to make MASSIVE overtime and since walmart doesnt allow overtime i work less but make the same its ok I guess.
my dream career or job whatever you want to call it has always been to be in the Air Force and for a while I was but things happened and it didnt work out as well as planned. I did however get a Honorable Discharge so i wasnt tooo terribly upset. Now my new dream job would be to own my own car repair shop also with a small restaurant near the garage or next to it for people to relax and eat while they wait for there cars. I dunno big dreams i guess but its fun to dream.
sorry for the long post and probably horrible grammar for those that have a hard time reading it here are some cliff notes.
CLIFF NOTES:
Used to be a cook at a pub (it was fun!)
Now Im a cashier at walmart (meh... its alright..i make a little more money)
dream career:
Air Force - was in for a little while but then things happened and I recieved an Honorable Discharge (loved it)
New dream: own my own car repair shop with small restaurant

Well when I went to high school which was a vactional trade school which offered different courses for different trades.
I took on commercial foods which could lead to different types of culinary training. I took the class for three years to graduation.
I didn't take a job until September which was in a night club and it was doing dishes and cleaning.
I stayed for a few months and moved to another job on the Air Force Base to the officer's club hoping to be a cook then.
Well the chef thought I was better as a KP (Kitchen Police) doing cleaning and setting up a sandwich line.
I stayed there for six years.
The only reason I left was because the management reduce the working hours for the personnel so that they were not making has much.
I found a job has a supply clerk for the county I live in for public works making the same amount of money an hour but there are many times when you work over time when called to do so.
I have twenty seven going on twenty eight years and can retire when I reach thirty years and can move on to another job which I plan to do.
What I will do depends because I want to move out of the county where I live to somewhere not has hectic.
Just before I left high school I joined the local volunteer fire company which is in a urban area of a Washington DC.
I have been a member for thirty four years.
I could have gotten a job in any of the surrounding fire service areas around the city like many of our members did but being a union member and a volunteer where a union shop is set up has come down a battle over being a volunteer or having a job.
I had taken a test to get a job in a nearby fire department as a EMT for their ambulance service but failed the written test by a few questions.
I never tried again.
I have a friend who took written tests and has fail over and over.
He works for a private ambulance service and comes to the station when he is not working.

I'm currently a college student. It's alright, but essentially I have to pay to work, ha ha.
My dream job is to write stories and illustrate them. I could even be a manhwaga, which is the Korean equivalent for a mangaka.
However, I'm probably going to be heavily involved in politics and law. In that sense, my dream job would be a political analyst. I could be a lawyer, otherwise.

I am currently unemployed, but I have worked a couple cool jobs.
I worked for a year as a personal assistant/job coach for a student with Down syndrome. He was really fun to work with, and the teacher I worked under was really good too.
I worked at the airport as a baggage handler for a year. The job was horrible and mundane, but the airport is in my opinion one of the coolest places to work. I stopped working there so I could go back to school though.
While in school I worked at Edible Arrangements until recently. We made fruit baskets shaped like flower bouquets and I got to dip fruit in chocolate. Very fun, but low paying. And the hours weren't flexible enough to work around my dance rehearsal schedule. Which leads me to my dream job.
My dream jobs would be dancing and then later choreographing for a professional dance company. My dream company to work with would be
Ballet Magnificat. They're a Christian ballet company, and they are some of my biggest heroes.

I am currently working as a math and physics tutor for kids attending GCC, and in the past I have worked as a computer tutor at the tech center. I love(d) both jobs and I'm planning on keeping this one at the GCC math solution for quite a while (I enjoy working with my boss and my co-workers are all cool math guys and gals like me!)
Ahem... but I did get a bachelors degree in physics, so I'm hoping to eventually work in research, theory or computational physics. I could also teach physics as well at a university. Currently I'm not really interested in teaching high school physics... but this winter I'm planning to TUTOR high school physics (mostly 'cause private physics tutors make nice wages when they do group tutoring sessions... $25-$30 an hour anyone? $_$ (a money eyed emoticon... what? It's there parents money anyways... and you guys get free physics tutoring if ya know me from here LOL))...
Even better tutoring helps me to improve for the GRE so its a win-win situation! YAY!

Currently? A student working part-time at The UPS Store. It's pretty good there, and I like it well enough. I have good managers and co-workers, so that's good. XD My dream job/career is to work somewhere in the graphic design field, illustrating my own designs. I've also always thought that it would be cool to work as a concept artist for a film.

My dream career?
Probably a meteorologist (not the ones on TV, but the "behind-the-scenes" ones that track storm systems. I might possibly pursue storm-chasing--yes, chasing tornadoes) and/or a writer (screenwriting or storyline writing for manga *shrugs*).

I'm a floor supervisor at a roller skating rink now, but in the future, I wouldn't mind leading my own platoon in the marines, being a lawyer, writing a book, doing something techish or going into ministry.
I have a lot of aspirations.

[color="DeepSkyBlue"]Currently I am a student and I work as a tutor. I want to be an animator. I think it would also be cool to have my own project one day and possibly make my current comic book idea into an animated movie or video game. That would be fun! It would also be cool to work as a character designer or concept artist. But whatever happens depends on what God wants me to do.

When I was younger I wanted to be a storm chaser... back in the days when Arizona had cool weather. We USED to get a monsoon every year where day after day at roughly 5:00 PM there would a massive huge line of thunderheads move over the city bring huge walls of dust, high winds and lightning (about one bolt per second or less). We lack tornados, but that didn't stop me from looking for them. I am convinced that I onc saw one when I was younger while looking east during one of the storms... the same day the news reported a tornado had possibly touched down in that direction.
My favorite happend on August 14, we had 120 M.P.H. winds, green clowds thick hail that tore the trees apart... man what a cool storm. I was outside looking for the storms when it came in, I could "fly" for a second longer then normal when I ran and jumped with the wind in that storm because of the reduced gravity caused by the wind blowing over my body. Further it was basically impossible to open or close (I don't remember which) the doors during that storm because of the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the house). I remember that that was the only storm in which the wind was actually visible in 3 dimensions you could see the air collumns because of how they stratified the dust in the air... really really cool! But alas... can't be much of a storm chaser today, you have to drive hundreds of miles with lots of heavy equipment, and that's just hard to do with a limited science budget and increased gas prices

Currently, I'm a college student with a part-time job in the school theater department, sewing costumes for the operas and plays we put on. :3 It's a surprisingly nice job, and I get paid over minimum wage, yay~
Eventually, I'd like to get a job translating or possibly working in some sort of Asian foreign relations position. Putting my otherwise odd major to use FTW.

Right now I work at a hospital in the Environmental Services department (which is the long, fancy name for "housekeeping" that I use when I want to sound impressive). It's not the most intellectually stimulating job in the world, but it pays well enough and it's walking distance from my place. I don't plan on being a housekeeper all my life, but I have no particular grand ambitions. I just never understood why people look at you funny if you say you don't want to pursue some great spectacular dream job. There's something to be said for a job that can't possibly interfere with your personal life; if I'm at a restaurant and someone drops a plate on the floor, I don't have to get up and say "Everybody, stand back! I'll handle this! I'm a Housekeeper!"
Perhaps I'll eventually switch to a different department in the hospital and who knows where I'll end up? But in general I like it at the hospital. Decent pay, good benefits, plenty of good stories just waiting to be told.
