"Police jail McDonald's employee who over-salted burger"
First off: it was an accident. She didn't mean to spill salt on the meat.
Secondly: she took the case to her superiors, and they did nothing but "tap the salt off."
Thirdly: she ate a burger with the same meat, and didn't get sick.
Fourthly: the police officer could have simply took the matter up with the manager rather than arresting her.
Fifthly:...it's McDonald's, what the crap were you expecting?

That is just stupid. But then again, customers can summon the Better Business Bureau for anything that didn't go right with them these days. It's insane.

Why is it again we seem to have an inherent fear/distrust of police again? I can't remember.

That's just way beyond ridiculous.

After working in retail for a while and learning about how the general public acts, I've concluded that people will guaranteed to ALWAYS have SOMETHING to be able to whine and complain about :/

That is so true Tenshi no Ai.
As for the thread, just wow.....

Whoa. Talk about a severe case of overreacting.
The next time I eat at a restaurant and my food isn't cooked to perfection, I am totally calling the cops. The food industry needs to meet the hammer of justice leik whut. XD
Also, the best part of the article:
"If it was too salty, why did (Adams) not take one bite and throw it away?"
I think she has a point. XD

"Don't cook the prime if you can't do the time, Yeah, don't do it...."
Okay, I have no idea why a 1970's cop show showed up in my overactive imagination while reading this thread. Maybe because Baretta liked to cook.
So to all those cooks out there risking hard time, I have only one thing to say. Keep your eye on the sparrow. Nobody likes overcooked sparrow...

There was some other McDonald's related ridiculousness on the news the other day. I may not like McDonald's food, but this is just stupid.

CSI: The case of the over salted burger. XD
I have to say, this is ridiculous on both the officers side and the person who was arrested. Sure, I can understand if the food was undercooked, but this was just a simple mistake.
And how come I didn't call the cops when I felt sick the last time eating their food five years ago?

Yes, but are they chicken? That, my friend, is the burning question . . . or is it the pre-cooked heating question . . .

As much as I loathe MacDonalds and all their foods...
...this is just plain ridiculous. Yes, I know, I'm not adding anything new.

Hahahahaha. God bless Georgia: 46th in the nation in SAT scores, and we arrest people for oversalting meat. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. That police officer may or may not be retarded. What's the actual crime here? I can tell you this: the girl who was arrested has one heck of a lawsuit on her hands.
I kind of want a Double Quarter Pounder with fries now.

My dad puts salt on his fries and burgers whenever we go to MacDonald's.
I find that the fries are already too salty for my taste.Though that doesn't mean I would sue them.I mean let's be reasonable here folks, after all MacDonald's serves billions of costumers per day with different tastes.
Couldn't the cop have simply gotten a knife and taken the extra salt off himself? That's what my dad does with the onions, and he hates onions!

Yes. And if it is, yes.
Any other burning questions?

In California, some would say, "He shouldn't have to."
Apparently the US is degrading to that state that every civilization degrades to before its ultimate collapse. The state where it's generally acceptable to stand on a street corner and scream, "I deserve better."
As for false arrest, I would not be surprised to learn that there has already been a suit filed.
BTW: The latest research shows that salt is only really unhealthy for if:
1. You have a genetic predisposition to sodium related hypertension.
2. You do not drink enough water.
3. You pour it in your wounds.
I think you could make a case for a serious lawsuit just on the fact that the employee must now disclose to all potential employers that "I've been arrested." Now that the ability to earn money has been significantly impacted, the police precinct should have to pay millions in compensatory damages.

Screw this. I'm making my own burgers from now on (I DO have tons of patties in the freezer as we speak) and I'll add as much seasoned salt as I darn well please!
Yes, yes, hypertension runs in my family. I prefer to call it "celebrating my lineage."

If you can pull it off (unlike the manager in this article), we allow it. Just keep the residue to a minimum, please.

And I thought that law that NYC came up with where they banned trans fats from all food products was ridiculous.

We need a In and Out Burger around these parts. McDonalds is garbage compared to them.
