Any Signs/Miracles you've witnessed?

I went to bible study today, and I for some reason, was looking at my plate.

Anyway, the plate began to move by itself (it tilted up and down). I stared at it, then looked around to see that nothing had caused it to move. (I guess I was spacing out when I was looking at my plate).

Anyway, I blinked and watched it do it again. Nobody seemed to notice or cause it and, to myself, the first thing that came to mind was that God did that. (It was the very first thing that came to my mind, that's kind of cool)

So I mentally asked God if he could do that again, and to my amazement, it tilted again! I asked again and again a couple of times, and it tilted and tilted repeatedly! :wow!:

Anyway, afterwards, the host of our Bible study (We hold it at different homes) put in a "Way of a Worshipper" video and I watched it. But I can't get that off my mind. I thought that was really cool. (It took all I had to try not to squeal to interrupt the conversation)

Anyway, have you guys ever seen a miracle or a cool sign that you think God or one of his angels had done?

Yes I have, but let us just say that they are personal...

same here, it was an incredible thing, and to discover that it had happened threw me for a loop, you could have looked at me and knocked me over, but i don't think it wise to share it at this point in time

Hey guys. I have no problem with everyone sharing the things God is doing in their lives in the forms of signs or wonders. However, I also recognize that the issue of signs and wonders in the modern church is an issue that is pretty heatedly debated. Furthermore, we're all going to disagree on exactly what constitutes a "sign" or "miracles", so I thought it might be wise for me to hop in here and remind everyone that we'd like to avoid theological death matches. Anyone who doesn't comply with this request is will receive a strike.

Anyways, with that nasty bit of business out of the way, I will say Adieu! *leaves the thread, throwing muffins at the ceiling.*

I am highly skeptical of such things especially what you described as it might just possibly have a rather mundane explanation that you are overlooking.

Though I find a lot of every day living just plain miraclous in and of itself.

P.S.The New Testament,if you read it rightly warns us about seeking for
signs and wonders.Christ himself rebutted the Pharisees by saying the
only sign he would give them was the sign of Jonah(a reference to his death and resurrection).
So asking for signs and wonders is a bit IMO unBiblical.

Oh, I'm really sorry. Didn't mean for an issue like that to possibly occur.

Did you fail to read Mangafantic's post above yours, or do you simply not know the definitions of "debate" or "disagree." Perhaps you disagree with her post, and therefore disregard it? In any event, I find it really hard to believe you either:
a) lack the self control to simply leave the thread.
or
b) don't know by now that walking the line is frowned upon.
or
c) don't know the definitions of the words.

I have better things to do than police people who insist on walking the fine line. I'm locking the thread. I'll let the rest of the mods decide if I'm being overly critical, or if this is strike worthy. Considering the ultimatum delivered, though...
