Frequent bloody noses

I suddenly started getting frequent mild bloody noses for the last week. I don't notice it unless I use a tissue to blow my nose, but I am getting tired of seeing red spots. Is this something to worry about?

Bloody noses? On an Anime forum?

Inconceivable.

Personally, I find it's best to use a tissue to "plug" one's nose. The tissue will absorb the blood until it dries.

I'm going to be slightly gross. I apoligize in advance.

It doesn't leak though. Wouldn't airdrying be enough?

...This is out of my field of expertise. Sorry.

Perhaps you spend too much time in dry areas? Maybe getting a humidifier for your room may help.

Wait, so is it like full on nosebleeds, or just little red slotches when you go to blow your nose?

Could be a lot of dust or dryness. I clean cottages and get a lot of dust in my nose, so I get slight nosebleeds everytime I finish work.

Like MSP suggested, a humidifier would probably do the trick.

Mostly spots of blood. I get some nice darker red blotches occasionally, like I usually do when I get a nose bleed. Never enough to just leak out. I'm not sure exactly what counts as a full nosebleed, but I am sure that this is at very least mild. A couple times in the morning I have spat out a darker, blood-containing bit of mucus, presumably from blood that went backwards over night.

I know last night when that happened again, our humidity according to weather.com was close to 80%. I guess that's good.

My allergies have been a slightly worse lately, if that makes a difference. Hence the increased opportunity to see red spots on my tissue.

It takes about seven days for the spot to heal, you need to try and not bother it

If it's hot and dry, you might have increased chances of developing nosebleeds. Just ask my sister. She had a bunch of nosebleeds back when she was little 'cause of the heat and stuffiness. Maybe get a fan or something in your room.

Yeah, unless you've got a nosebleed that runs out and won't quit, I doubt it's anything to worry about. It sounds like dry air/allergies irritation. It should clear up on it's own, but if it persists for more than a month, then perhaps a doctor could recommend a treatment.

Hmm... I know MOLD sometimes causes nosebleeds... Is your house clean?

As for how to stop nosebleeds, I know all about 'em. I used to have really bad ones. The most recent one I had was when I was in Rome. I started having one RIGHT AT THE CONSECRATION during a mass at the throne of St. Peter in St. Peter's Basilica.

Basically, to stop a nosebleed, pinch the high part of your nose, and LEAN FORWARD. DO NOT LEAN BACK!! If you do, you'll most likely swallow some blood. Which leads to my worst nosebleed EVER...

...

Um, I'll spare you the details, but my mom said it looked like I got shot. I had to go to the emergency room! However, the funny thing is... My nosebleed stopped just as we arrived at the ER

So, yeah, nosebleeds... They happen. They suck.

You should see a doctor to be on the safe side about this.
I have had to deal with people with serve nose bleeds on the ambulance.
I had a supervisor who had high blood pressure which brought on his nose bleeds.

I do not know of any mold. I know that I have kicked up some dust recently. I didn't think it was that bad.

My blood pressure on the 27th was no higher than 120 over 80. That is almost always that case except maybe twice by a point or two.

I'll often have blood residue when i wake up in the morning and blow my nose... unless you're actually dripping, I don't think you have anything to worry about...

Bloody noses can be anything from a minor sinus issue, to leukemia, to von willebrand's disease, to a random, harmless occurence.

So... Yeah. If it keeps happening, go to a doctor.

If I have not had my normal multivitamin lately, could this have an effect?
