K, for all those addicted to roller coasters aught to know this new ride at Cedar Point.

The new roller coaster, the Maverick, is absolutely amazing. I got to ride it twice with a 1 1/2 wait and the second time front seat.

* Riders are launched up a 105 foot tall lift hill
* Maverick has a 95 degree (5 degrees past vertical) first drop
* Travels at a top speed of 70 MPH
* Two launch areas
* Two corkscrew rolls
* Eight airtime-filled hills
* One 400-foot-long tunnel
* 10 banked turns, from 62 to 92 degrees
* Two on-ride photo sections
* Two canyon wall sections
* Magnetic, non-contact braking system
* Elevated single load/unload station
* First of its kind "Twisted Horseshoe Roll"
* S-curve
* "Water Bombs" that spray water when trains pass over the lagoon

This quite possibly is one of my top favorites along with Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster.

Did anyone else get to experience this crazy ride?

Yeah, some older women was on the floor almost passed out. She was all red and could barely breathe. I loved it though. I've never gotten sick after riding a coaster.

Wow! That sounds like so much fun! How long does the ride take?

If I ever go to Cedar Point I will definitely ride it.

I unno, some girl just got both her feet lopped off yesterday in a roller coaster malfunction... and apparently the rollercoaster was manufactured by one of the leaders in the field...

I think I'll pass on any roller-coaster experiences for the time being

I got a question. Is the rollar coaster holding you from below or above? Below means like a regular rollar coaster your sitting in a seat. Above means your feet are dangling. Because the rollar coaster I went on that was really fast around 70-90 mph and it was a seating rollar coaster. It had like a 90 degree climb, a tilted loop, and a few cork screws. It first shoot you off like a slingshot onto the 90 degree climb at amazing speeds. Now I might have been a little insane for trying it considering I wasn't used to "hard-core" rollar coasters. Im not sure what got into me that day, but now I know I can do practically any rollar coaster thats if my sister is willing to go through with it. But shes a little more experienced that I am.

You hear about accidents on Roller Coasters every now and again,but even though I am not a fan of such I would have to say that 99.99% of the time they are perfectly safe.

It was a free-fall thrill ride; not a roller coaster. As well, it was a fluke. Of all my years being a roller coaster and thrill ride junkie, I have yet to see or experience an accident on ride.

The roller coaster car is attached on the bottom of the seats.

I think this particuliar accident only made the evening news because of the fact that it has such a gory ending to it.Think about it,the reason the story hit the headlines is because her foot or feet were sliced off.

Sounds like fun! Hven't rode it yet. But it sounds almost as fun as Top-Thrill Dragster (That was my fav ride)
