I just acquired Photoshop CS2 - I've used other programs like this before, but I'm looking for some good tutorials and life-saving plugins, filters, textures, etcetera. Could you guys break out some links and give me a hand?

EDIT: Can this get moved to tutorials?

I don't know about "lifesaving" but lots of free graphics sites (such as Daystar Designs and the other sites Myrrh links to) offer free tutorials.

The best way to get to know photoshop, outside of taking a class on it, is to get some scans and try to make a wallpaper. In other words, just fool around. See what different settings do, and play with the layer settings.

Photoshop is used for so much, but most people really only focus on a few uses extensively.

What are you interested in?

Collage? Wallpapers? Digital painting? Image manipulation? Banners/avatars? Photo restoration/touch-up? Basic animation? Vectors?
Do you know how to mask?

Do you have Illustrator also?
