Tell whatever school stories you have! <3
Today in Biology was semi-depressing, half the class recieved detentions and many people were scolded for trying to stick up for those people (along with one given a detention) ...we had a Sub yesterday, whom, after handing out our daily work (one worksheet) sat at the desk and didn't say another word to us, not even as we left. (You know, alot of them are friendly and helpful and talkative and want to know what the class is like, what the teacher does with you...but not her, she just sat there and read) She gave us the nastiest report I've ever had in a class. I hate to say it, but I was honestly the only one who wasn't acting up. Almost everyone moved back to the Lab, sat in groups around the room....gossiped and talked about personal things in their lives (most of which I really wish I'd never heard, I never realised just how innocent I really am) I sat where I belonged, did my work, and then helped those who needed it around me; then went and doodled and read for the rest of the hour. And what do we get today? Double our normal WEEK'S homework, due by the end of the hour! Our teacher was beyond angry. I didn't even try to help, I knew people had acted the fool and been stupid, and I knew some deserved what they got...yet I knew those trying to back their cases were also right. I was torn. I was grateful not to have been yelled at or anything, probably one of the only ones!
Well, this happened a month or so ago, but we were on the way home on the bus and I was sitting behind a semi-close friend of mine, listening to her and some of her friends' conversation, getting into it whenever I felt the need. (I usually ignore everyone on the bus and go into my zone with my iPod) Sure I had my iPod set on low volume as I listened into this high-energy conversation, but that's not the point. Suddenly, as we're about to round the corner, one of the girls flings to the window seat. "Oh my gosh! Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!!!" she yelled, "It's a MONSTER TRUCK!!!" Another girl, sitting nearby, corrected her "That's a van..." Then we all fell back laughing at it, because it was a van for the energy drink, Monster. We thought it was an actual monster truck, like Blue Thunder or Gravedigger or something That day was fun.
Two main ones that stick out to me at the mo'. My life is pretty insane....like, I just found out today that Fine Arts is going to have funding cut AGAIN and that my Choir teacher of two years is being layed off and she's not sure if she's going to be able to stay or if she'll be forced to leave....they tried to pull this on us many times before, every year it's the same, but worse. I've been in the choir since the sixth grade! I've seen teacher after teacher come and go....the one before her I miss dearly, I dunno what happened to him, if he got layed off or deployed or what....Michigan economy is going downhill so fast it's outrageous. I know this isn't the right board for this, but, Please, pray for Ms. Glover [Mrs. Robinson--it's so hard to call her that!] That she won't be cut off from her beloved students, we would all be devistated...one girl was in sobs after hearing the story, and I was close to that myself. The things she's taught us as a group, it's like none other. She's an amazing teacher, and choir won't be the same without her (as I'm taking it Junior Year and possibly Senior if I have schedule room)
