Well, I'm thinking of myself of finally picking up a Visa or something. Nice to start collecting credit now for the future and well, it sure is alot more easy to buy stuff online with too^^ But with me, I'm considering going for the new Warcraft Visa they have out^^ A) It has a pretty visual on the card, and I'm a sucker for stuff like that (I heart my visuals^^) B) You can get points to collect paid months on the game (for every $1,500 USD apparently... quite alot of time to get there, but free!) and C) Of course, to start getting some credit. Just a few questions to those who already have Visa/Mastercard/AMX etc though...

The bank that it's affiliated with is in America and I'm sort of in Canada. How would I make payments? Would I have to sign into online banking (since I have an account with my bank) with their bank, to be able to transfer money from my account? Would I have to make payments in American funds, knowing it's an American bank, or just in Canadian since I bought items with that currency? Anything else I should know about before applying for a credit card? Lots I still don't understand with it, but any tips might be useful^^

I know local banks offer some good deals, like one that give you payback at the end of the year for the amount purchased and so on. Still, getting free month time IS still just as good for online gaming fun^^ AND you get 1 month free for signing up^^

Hope someone can help me out here!

If your talking about credit card payment (I got confused somewhere among the Warcraft rambling), I just signed up with my bank to automatically make the payments for me straight from my account. Your only real worry is to be overdrawn by the deadline, which I have no problem with as only use it for my online purchases, and those are few.

Well yes credit payment, but since it's a Visa where Warcraft is affiliated with an American bank, on how abouts making payments for it, if I chose to get that one since it's the one in specific that I'm talking about. ...and I was not rambling v_v

Visa is a worldwide company. I'm sure you'd be OK.

Even though it is from a foreign place? I was almost wondering if it would even be valid for another country, but it didn't specific as "USA only". Just curious as to HOW to make payments... Maybe I should get some cheques hm...

Well, they call 'em checks here, so that wouldn't work either. :D

No, no, I kid. It would seem to me that you can probably ask Visa to send you your remit slips due Can$ instead of USD.

YMMV, I guess.

When it comes to international banking, you might wish to talk to your bank. I *think* that there shouldn't be a problem, given that Visa is an international company, and that your payments go to them rather than the Bank of America. However, you should talk to a professional.

As far as payments go, assuming that you can use the credit card, you will be billed the equivalent amount in Canadian dollars.

Alright, I'm moving to the more 'positive' end of it all... My last question is this: How would I set up online banking to make payments to it? I know for most sites you can somehow set it up so it goes directly there, but if it's an Int. Visa rather than the products...
