I think I have a good reason for not putting this in computing.
My display was rotated by 90 degrees to the right on my laptop screen. Yeah, I have my laptop rotated so I can use it right.

Oh oh! I've had this happen to me before. It's really annoying.
Eh, if I remember correctly.....
Start >> Control Panel >> Display >> Settings >> Advanced
There should be some tab that allows you to rotate the display screen back.
I've never tried this but this post suggests using some type of hot key.
http://engtech.wordpress.com/2006/08/01/stupid-windows-features-monitor-display-turns-sideways-or-upside-down/
Ctrl-Alt-Up - right side up
Ctrl-Alt-Right - 90 degrees
Ctrl-Alt-Down - 180 degrees
Ctrl-Alt-Left - 270 degrees
(If that doesn’t work, try Ctrl-Shift-R)
If the hot keys work, pls let me know.
Hope this helps.

*SIGH OF RELIEF*
The hot keys worked!
What a stupid feature.

The hot keys wrecked my Windows Explorer (A re-occuring problem with my work laptop - the task bar freezes up), but they did rotate my screen. Awesome.

That looks like an effective 4/1/2007 joke.

Why the heck would you even wanna rotate the display?

We rotate the display quite a bit where I work. If you have a touch screen, it's REALLY convenient to hold a laptop with one hand if it's rotated 90 degrees.

I get it then. I'm guessing a smaller laptop than a 17" though XD
