Now seriously folks what would you want to do if one day you played and won the lottery and got say $4,000,000 for every year for life?
Me,the first thing I think I would do would be to get the house in the country totally rebuilt and refurbished and updated, especially the plumbing and electricity.

I would probably invest a large portion of it (just my nature). With bits and pieces of it, I would purchase a large piece of property and setup a server farm. CAA's server would be upgraded to a real server machine, and I'd have a serious load ballanced solution to play with. ;) I would also probably pay off the building project our church is in the middle of, and maybe setup a trust fund for retired pastors.

Of course, I would probably play with some of it. You know, retire, travel, buy a sports car, etc. :D

I would get a settled living situation. I would pay off school. I would donate to causes that I believed were worth while. I would recompense my parents and make them comfortable. I would make it so that I could work or what I wanted.

I'd probably invest a portion of it and give some gifts to the people that have helped me along as well.

4 Million every year for LIFE?

Maybe put a bit into mutual funds, and just keep the rest and save most of it, and use some to spend here and there.

Become a third world tyrant. And adopt all of the rodents in my local animal shelter and treat them better than my poor subjects.

Hmm....I'd pay off my bills, store up money for college, save money to build myself a house....donate some to charity and the CAA....and travel the world....if their is any left...I'll just save it.

- First off, buy a new car since mine is currently sitting dead in the driveway.
- Get a new computer. The one I am using now is made out of a pile pf parts I had laying around.
- Buy a few new cameras to play around with and build a darkroom.
- Pay off my darn tuition.
- Pay off all the family bills and buy us a bigger house (8 people...1 bathroom...that's just wrong).
- Help the youth group kids go on mission trips.
- Quit my job. I wouldn't be lazy though. I need something to do. Maybe start a business.
- Invest some of it (if I knew anything about that kinda stuff).
- Get some flying lessons and buy a small airplane.
- Get a new bass and amp.

And, I think the list is getting big enough, so that should do. xD

I'd put it toward financing my private army of ninjas. Those ninjas are expensive.

Well, other than obvious things like only telling family members I know won't blurt it out and changing my lifestyle as little as possible...

With that much money coming in every year, the interest on it would probably be enough to start a foundation in a few decades. I'd have to do research to find a cause that could really be helped by further funding, but it isn't like there's a shortage of them.

Otherwise, it would be helpful for paying off college, since with that much money it wouldn't be fair for me to accept scholarships and grants that can go to someone else. I'd probably use it to buy a house and necessary appliances when it comes time for that in my life, because I'm a selfish person at heart. While I'd still try for exactly the same career I'm attempting now, it would be different because I wouldn't have to worry about becoming a literally starving artist. On the bright side I could arrange for deals more profitable for the artists involved that actually need the money.

Perhaps that much money would mean I trust God less.

I would pay off my bills... Then buy a PS3 and an HDTV. And a house to raise a family in, but nothing I couldn't afford when the money stopped rolling in.

Maybe this is a really "obvious" answer, but it's what I really feel:

1. Use some of the money to buy a place to live and a car to drive, as public transport here is notoriously bad.
2. Any money that is left over I'd set up a charity and use it to feed people struggling with poverty as well as buy Bibles for people in parts of the world who want a copy but can't afford one.

Seriously, I can't think of why I would need so much money. Even if I bought all the things I've wanted to enjoy, I wouldn't have enough time or energy to enjoy them all. In the end, I'd probably end up wasting it. Might as well use it to give other people a chance in life.

I guess the first thing would be to is to move away from where I live now and buy a house big enough for my parents and myself.
I would get my brother and maybe some of his family to attend classes with me at the Monolithic Dome Institute in Italy, Texas and learn how to build their structures. I have heard that a dome built with concrete are very hard to destroy because of their design.
I have learn they will stand up in tornados and hurricanes.
The company builds churches, homes, and business structures.
After learning how to do to build the domes I would build them for my family and my brother's and maybe build a hotel and other business for my family to run.
Giving money away I would give some to the volunteer fire company I am a member of and community needs.
One thing being a bachelor I would imagine many a bacheloette or some gold diggers after me to get some money form me but I would say I would know who I would want as a wife.

Hmmm. Get my mom a car. Maybe I'd get my dad one, but he seems to like his smelly 12 year old van. I'd pay for my college, my sisters' college, and my brother's college. I would open up a shelter for homeless kids. I would travel to Japan, England, and wherever else I wanted to go. I would make sure my parents have enough money to live on. I would by gifts for all my family. I would by my church a building. Get a bigger house with a pool. Pay my parents' current mortage.

And of course I would buy land and a building and make an extravagant library of manga, anime, books, CDs, and video games with a wide screen flat panel tv with surround sound. :thumb:

I would definitely donate a large and generous amount to charity, and perhaps I'd do a bit of traveling with my family.

I'm not quite sure what else I'd do with it, but that's kind of an idea...and just because I'd be rich doesn't mean I'd live in a gigantic house or drive a luxury car or anything like that...but a guitar synth and a digital camera would be nice...

The down side of course is that the IRS,if you happen to be American, would get their annual cut called taxes.

It would be rather difficult, since I don't play the lottery.

I'm going to be flat out honest and say I'd more than likely waste it all. I would give some to the church. Actually, a very small amount. Not because I would be greedy, but my pastor has actually said, "My biggest fear is if a member of this church won the lottery and donated a bunch of money to us." Simply because, our church doesn't really need the money. So if I wanted to donate money, it would be to other Christian organizations, not my church (well, a tiny bit to my church).

But more than likely, I'd spend it on frivolous crap that I wouldn't really need. Depending on the amount, I'd certainly quit work, and forget about school, and pretty much live out my life as a worthless bum...which admittedly isn't too far from what I am currently, but it'd be even worse then.

I hope I get married before any of this happens because I really need somebody to remind me to wake up in the morning and eat food. Mother and I have a joke that someday I will be found dead of starvation with a thouasand dollars in my pocket.

Gee, that reminds me of Rii-chan . . . eating almost nothing and not knowing what to do with the money she's got. ^_^

Let's see . . . $4 million a year for LIFE? Ooh, the possibilities . . .

Well, let's start with the taxes. Good old Uncle Sam taking his pound or two or five of flesh. I'm going to be pessimistic and say that I'm in a 50% tax bracket. That leaves me with $2 million. I would give $400k to my church each year, so they'd be set and able to pay our pastor [well, I guess now he's one of the pastors, since he and my dad alternate teaching on Sundays [I guess that makes me a PK now . . .] a good salary, since I know his family could use the money. Now I have $1.6 million. Right now, I would pay my way through college when I go this fall [~$20k a year minus $8k in scholarships means about $12k a year . . . let's say $15k to be certain], which leaves me with $1,585,000 for the year. This year, I would buy a well-equipped used Chevy HHR, which, if my dad could get it bought right, would run no more than another $15k. We're now at $1,570,000. I would also buy my good friend Jenna a loaded Chevy Cobalt SS sedan because she has a tired old Honda right now and she deserves something nicer. That would run about $25k, so we're at $1,545,000ish. I'd put the rest of that into an account to run up some interest whilst I'm in college. After college, I'd pursue art or voice acting or whatever God calls me to, knowing that I don't need to worry about making a living. I would also spoil my friends and family rotten and help people with it wherever I saw a need. I would also buy myself a really awesome motorcycle [either a pearl white '06 Honda Interceptor ABS or a late-model Harley-Davidson Night Rod with custom white pearl paint]. I would also definitely set my parents up for life [at least $300k a year]. Me? I would live on no more than $100k a year [at least, that's what I'd allocate to myself]. I don't really need much, actually. I would, however, likely splurge on a fully-loaded Mac Pro with eight processor cores, 16 gigabytes of RAM, 3 terabytes of hard drive storage, and all the toys. It would end up running me about $16k when the smoke cleared [as much as the Night Rod and several thousand more than the Interceptor], but I would have the most utterly wicked Mac Apple makes. I would then buy all the Half-Life games and play them on a large fancy monitor [like, say, one of those nice Apple Cinema doohickeys]. I'd also get some really sweet guns for Dad and I to have fun with [a nice Benelli shotgun, a Springfield SOCOM 16, some 1911s, a Desert Eagle just because, a Barret M82 just because, and perhaps something totally righteous like a full-auto P90 with, of course, the federal registration so the Man couldn't hassle me about it].

Oh yes, and I would round out my manga collection, which would include Rurouni Kenshin, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, xxx_HoLiC, D.Gray-man, Buso Renkin, Bleach, Black Cat, Case Closed, Death Note, Monster [I just read the first volume and it's awesome], Fullmetal Alchemist, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I would also get the anime for all of these shows [the ones that I could] so Rii-chan and I could do AMVs. I would also fund trips for us to go to cons and cosplay anyone our twisted little hearts desire. Furthermore, I would donate money to the FairTax people to help get that movement going, which would really help my investing and saving of those millions [and because I think it's pretty awesome]. I might also buy my friend Briesa a totally righteous guitar [say, a fully-loaded special-edition Les Paul or something ~ she's a guitar nut] and fund the restoration of her late-'60s Mustang.

Naturally, I'd also vacation in Japan ~ duh.

.rai//

EDIT: Gosh, how could I forget. I'd obviously buy CAA some rockin' awesome servers and help if not completely cover the operating costs [electricity, bandwidth and whatnot]. No, I'm not just being nice. I love CAA.

4 million for life, eh? Mmm, well my family & I have had discussions if we won the lotto. More has been dicussed, but here's a small list below.

- Buy the house we're renting now

- Take a family vacation where no one can bother us (we've never been on one & my parents could sure use one)

- Find or Build our dream house in the Mountains (with in home Editing & Audio Studios) maybe even with our own private range.

- Thank those who've helped us in the past & invest in some of our friends businesses &/or charieties. (We know quite a few who are or want to do some really good things, yet only lack the financial support). (Of course, you're right in assuming CAA is on my mind as well)

- Modest Spending Spree
Of course we all have "toys" we'd get. Brother a wii & other game stuff. Me a "few" anime & mangas, artbooks. and etc. We'd all get the largest collection of old time serials, Roy Rogers, Cisco Kid, Pallidin, and well as classic movies. There's other "toys" we'd find for using on the range.

- Then when things settled down & we've taken care of ourselves, our friends and other things we feel we ought to do. Dad could settle down in his new writing chair & start writing all his creenplays & stories. After he finished one or two, we'd finance them ourselves.

- On the off chance we don't win the lotto, yet one of you do. Please keep this last little wish in mind. ;)

Making a huge assumption that 4 million is the gross total I'm receiving (aka no government to hunt me down), I confess the following wishes:

1) Art school (so I can finally focus on improving my drawing and coloring skills)
2) Create a studio for Christian manga artists and fund projects (both entertainment and missionary-based) globally
3) Dedicate some funds to my parent's retirement
4) Some type of investment?

But that's not going happen. Not because it's not unrealistic. It's not God's Will for me to have loads of free money drop onto my lap. He knows I haven't learnt how to trust Him with money. I mean, I have the hardest time tithing. Yes, I did not mention charity or offerings because honestly, I'm quite a miser. I'm working on changing that horrible part of myself .
