Anybody else read USAToday? If you look at their special section E for the Super Bowl, and go to the back page, you find pictures of the two coaches and a title that reads:

On Sunday, one of us will be a world champion. It's the ultimate goal- but we know there's more to life than football. Even when you have achieved the ultimate, something better lies beyond.

We're pro football coaches, but we are also men of faith. A faith that defines who we are. It comforts us in tough times and produces hope in the midst of adversity. It is through our common faith in Jesus Christ that we have individually experienced God's love and forgiveness.

We would love to tell you more.

It reminds me of a movie that was newly released this week that I found online, called "Facing the Giants" about a football team that had to put their faith in Him and everything. Such a fitting name too^^

That's one thing, but to hear it in real life is great too^^ It was kinda funny, cause my church has posters for their kid's church on atheletes and quotes of their faith, and wouldn't you guess one guy was from the Jersey Devils? Guess you can't always pick what team you play for, but sort of interesting...

YES YES YES THAT MOVIE ROXXORS!!!1111 I saw it in theaters and it was like one of the only movies I have been too where the audience cheered and clapped all throughout the movie!!

Always glad to hear of Christians in sports! What a witness.

It's kinda funny though a lot of Evangelicals and Fundementalists use Roger Staubach the great Cowboys quarterback as an example of a Christian athelete not knowing that Stauback is a devout Catholic who loves his beer!

Just because you are Catholic and you like beer doesn't mean you aren't necassarily a Christian...

....your point is? A lot of Fundamentalists look up to people like St. Augustine and stuff. What does being Catholic or liking beer have to do with anything?
