So I live out in Colorado and guess what? We are having a blizzard! It's crazy seeing as it's usually really fair weather this time of year. Anyway the snow is almost up to two feet in certain places and the wind is blowing at up to 50mph. It's pretty crazy!

Ah, so that's what a normal weather pattern is like...
Just last week, it got up to 70 degrees here! I drove to work with my windows down! Something is quite wrong with this picture--(Aside from the fact that I have no A/C in my car...execuse me--::runs to a corner and weeps:: )

Actually Khaki we usually have about 60 degree weather around this time. And Colorado Springs (where I live) is said to have the most abnormal weather patterns that are the norm for an area in the USA. I mean we've had weeks where it was 60 one day then 30 the next then -6 and back up to 60 by the end of the week.

Since I work at an airport, the only thing I can think of is how many flights must have been delayed today. I'm glad I wasn't working.

I think those abnormal weather patterns are normal for most of the middle section of the US...that sounds weird...anywho, yeah, we get those odd types of random weather switching here in Kansas too. Most days (unless its snowing) I generally just wear a light shirt and take a hoodie with me because I don't know what the weather will be like by the end of the day. Anywho, we've gotten a bit of that cold and snow here. Today my town looked like it just made it through a flood in the middle of winter. It was odd, the streets where all melted for the most part, but the rest of the place was covered with snow. There were tree limbs EVERYWHERE. That's the largest amount of fallen tree limbs I've seen in my entire life. It wasn't even windy to help them fall.

One day, I need to go soemwhere to experience a blizzard. Around her, brief flurries'll get us out of school, or even just a good chance of them might manage to get us a delay.

^^ Hey, cool, a fellow coloradian! I live up here in Denver, so...I'M SNOWED IN!
This is this first time I've been snowed in, so I'm stoked. It was nice because it means my Mom doesn't have to go back to work until January 2nd, because of holidays and vacation time she has to use. XD

dang, i wish we had snow days like that. over here we NEVER get snow days. i don't know what it is with the schools i end up attending. i'm at home right now, our high school still had school today and we had tree branches ruining peoples cars! (really, my dad's boss had his work truck's passenger side mirror come off and the windshield was shattered! my dad's work truck windshield was just cracked.)

Yeah they're saying that the weather is so bad that many of the flights will be delayed until Christmas eve. Oh well. At least we'll have a white Christmas. We haven't had one here in years.

There are still people in western Washington who are out of power from the Wind storm. My cousin Larry and his wife and son haven't had power for a week.
As far as Colorado goes, does anyone know what it's like in Colorado Springs?
My oldest sister and family are living there.Does anyone know if they got snow and if so was it as bad as the Denver area.
When you spend your earliest years in Minnesota you take blizzards and snowstorms for granted.

Yeah it's just as bad as Denver out here in Colorado Springs. It's not as bad today as it was yesterday. There were up to 50mph winds in the Springs, it was near whiteout conditions.

ARGH! I HATE YOU! We were all set up to go snowboarding over Christmas break, but... uh... NO. It has to be freaking 50 degrees everywhere on the east coast, all the way up into Vermont. So, those plans were nicely shut down.
I want snow!!! *cries*

I've never been snowboarding or skiing and I go to Angelfire every year. I see something wrong with this picture... (and for those of you who don't know, Angelfire is a major skiing place)

I heard there's supposed to be blizzard like conditions in my area this week, but I think it's too soon to really tell. And most of our snow finally melted yesterday...darn...

Could you Denverites stand outside and try to blow some of the clouds to Nebraska? We really need some snow, we haven't even had a dusting yet.
