So I see all these name posts and it gets me thinking does everyone have fav names picked out that they would like to use or not and the best way to do this is to ask I myself have 4 names and I hope to be able to use them all.

Sophia-Because it just sound pretty
Alice-because I like it.
Isa(ee-saw)-It was my grandfathers name in Turkey
Vincent-because by some profound coincidense I was telling a friend that I would like to name my son conquerer so we looked it up and lo and behold this was it.

I always said I wanted to give my kids some sort of anime-related name! Especially if it's a girl! I can so picture myself naming my baby girl "Sakura" or something like that!

As far as first names go...I have no clue what-so-freaking-ever!

I've always wanted to name a daughter Calessa Lynn.

However, seeing as I'm single and having little luck with the ladies, that'll be a while yet. :X

if i get married (which wil probably never happen) i'd pick "odd" names for my kids. just cause i'm different and i dont like when theres like ten people you know with the same name ... haha.
with my girl though, her middle name will be the same as my middle name, which is marie because both my grandmother's middle names were marie so i want to carry on the name.
for the boys middle name... either my husbands first name or his middle name. or my son's middle name will be Ryan after this kid i knew who commited suicide. it was a sad story and i'd use Ryan in memory of him.

but here are my choices for names so far...

girls:

Rae
Kiera
Tilly
Leah
Alice
Scarlet
Lauren (after my best friend)

boys:

Spencer
Todd
Aaron
Giavonni
Kyle
Jade

there might be more... i just cant think of them all right now.

Son-
Princess. I will pull a minor prophet and name my kid a prophetic name...I figure naming a son Princess will shake things up with that whole gender nuetrality issue.

I'm pondering several themes:

If I have twins, I might name them Peter and James. Then when people ask them, "Did your parents name you after the disciples?" they will shake their heads in shame and say, "No, we're named after Peter Pan and James Hook."

Or, if I have a very specific sequence of sons and daughters, their names would be: Katarina, Dimetrius, Nicholas, and Penelope. For short, I would call them Quarter, Dime, Nickle, and Penny.

Or, I am seriously considering naming my son Phaedo, after my favorite book by Plato.

Wow, surprised. Lots of similar name tastes.

Girl: Sophia, Jennifer

Boy: Andrew...man, what if I have two boys...? (calls husband on cell while in delivery room)--"HONEY, IT'S A B-BOY, W-WHAT WAS THAT ONE NAME YOU HAD P-PICKED OUT??!! *pant pant*"

Probably something like that.

Lots of people like the name Sophia, it seems. May I make a suggestion? If you have twins, a boy and a girl, you can name them Sophia (theoretical knowledge) and Techne (practical knowledge)! Come on, when's the last time you saw a boy named Techne?

I always wanted to name a girl Rico. I don't know why. Chloe sounds nice too. Jenny and Nikki sounds good too.

As for a boy, I find myself fond with Aaron, Adriam, Elliot, and Ellias.

Course then you can also name a girl "Rainbow Sunshine" or name a boy "Buckethead"

I'm not really sure, but I can see myself namnig my kids after a character in a book I really liked or something like that. WHo knows, though? Depending on what people I meet that have certain names, I may or may not be more inclined to name them that.

I won't name my kid Andy or Anderson though, and probably not Joey either.

But if I have twins, I want to name them Castor and Pollux, I've always loved those names.

I really like the name Seth a lot, and Vincent. But I really really want to name my kid (granted it's a boy) Andrew and then call him Ender...cause that's just cool.

I have no idea for girls names though. Petra maybe? Or something normaler...like Jess or Katherine.

LOL I would probably name them after my characters..

Guys: Brendan, Kyle, Aiden, (Love that name), Garret, Orion (O-Ree-On) Maybe I will nickname him Oreo, and Kavian.
Girls: Valerie, Celest, Solei, (means sun I think), Alisha, Kiara, Darcy.

I've always been partial to these names:

Boy: Scott, Michael, Mynik ( probably not  )
Girl: Alex (Lex for short), Jade, Sariah (Yes, the green haired girl from LoZ)

However, if they come in a specific order (boy, girl, boy) or are tripelets (2 boys and a girl), then I have the perfect names.

Lock, Shock, and Barrel. :) Oh yeah, perfect.

Go read what the Talmud has to say about Lilith; I know I want MY daughter to be feared as a baby-eating she-monster who rapes men who sleep alone.

Well, I think naming one of his sons "Cain" is right up there... A lot of people name their kids ANYTHING Biblical, parabiblical (names like "Melchior" or "Gaspar" for instance) or pseudobiblical (which is what Lilith is... Jesus condemned the Talmud in the Gospels, referring to one that said you can ditch your parents as long as you give that money to the temple...) regardless of the implications of those names. Jezebel? *sigh*

My first daughter will be named Emi. That way it's cross culture, since "Amy" works as an American name, and "Emi" is, of course, Japanese. I really like that name, though... Likely because of my Sailormoon fandom (even though her name is actually "Ami" and isn't pronounced the same) but it stuck with me.

Other names I liked are Abigail and Robert. An important rule for me is that I'll never name a child after me or my wife. I consider that Cruel. So, I won't marry an Amy, if that's the case, haha! Or, rather, i won't use that name if I end up marrying an Amy (that's the more logical answer)

TRIVIA: Did you realize that "Abigail" is technically a Masculine name?

Hey, Cain means "with the LORD's help."

I've been told I should name my son after myself. A friend of mine said, "Come on! You have such a great name, there deserves to be a 'Fernando Rojas the 15th' someday!"

Well, I certainly hope I and my wife will be the ones naming them. =p

Anyhoo...

For boys, Milo and possibly something like Dmitri (is that how you spell it?).
For girls, something like Pandora or Samantha (but call her 'Sammy' =D ).

Well, I was serious. But I'm also serious when I say it would heavily depend on the wife's opinion.

Which is why I have to marry a Platonist, for the sake of little Phaedo Rojas.
