What are you Thankful for????

Postby HitomiYuriko » Sun Nov 19, 2006 8:57 pm

The reason for doing this is to find out what everyone is thankful for on this special holiday Thanksgiving........

This is what I'm thankful:
My girls Raven and soon to be named little sister of Raven

My Husband SP1 whom I love unconditionally

My family & In-laws and their family across the U.S.

My wonderful friends here at CAA that brought laughter, goofiness, craziness to my life and made me laugh at all the comments. ;) and they know who they are.

Our Home and Cat

My church family

My friends that I have known for more than 30 years across the country.
[SIZE="1"]Believe

What I believe is what I will become. I believe I am special and that there will never be another like me...not ever. I believe I have been blessed with certain talents that will allow me to serve a purpose higher that my own. I believe we are all connected and that despite our differences we are one. I believe in the power or love and its ability to heal all wounds. I believe there are no acts of coincidence only acts of God that work miraculously in my life. I believe that the lessons I learn will be the lessons I teach.

My Family: SP1, Raven, and my other daughter soon to be named in 2 years, PcSavvy (My Sister)
Been Adopted by: Shadowchild,Mega.EXE
My Adoptions: Lunis--who has my unconditional love and support.
Shadowchild: who can win an argument with anyone (Hehe)
My Boys in Arms (The ones I'll try to keep from wandering the path of goofiness & craziness:dizzy: ): Yahshua( on his shoulder watching over him), Nate (AKA Kaemmerite), Sigmaknight, Cap'nNick, BigSleepJ,Scribs, YeshuaKnight, Linkquest, Mr. Smarty Pants, Cephas VII, Kkun, and AziertheSwordsman
My Girls in Arms (The ones I'll be looking out for from time to time): Sakura15, CrimsonRyu17, PrincessZelda, Himura Kaoru, Iz&Trigun4life, Lunis, Jesusfreak84,Shadowchild
And some new friends: JadenMetal,Mithrandir, ShatterHeartArk, and few others

I'm thankful for Jesus giving us salvation.
I'm thankful for my great family, and friends; both from real life and CAA
I'm thankful I was born in a great place and time.

There are many things I am so thankful to be blessed with, but it would probably filled the thread full :).

i'm thankful that God loved me, and everyone else in this world, enough that he sent his perfect and holy son Jesus to be a substitution sacrifice for my sins.
i'm thankful for the great and loving and caring family that God has provided for me and the nice warm house that God has blessed me with.
i'm grateful for all my believing friends that i have and how God has worked in their lives and how i have come to be closer with each of them.
i'm thankful that God has provided my family with healthy meals that have filled my stomach and how he has always been looking out for me, being the protector and healer.
i'm thankful for all the unneeded items of entertainment that God has granted me with.
i'm thankful for my wonderful talent of drawing that i have been gifted with and i pray that i will use this talent to bring glory to God's name.
i'm thankful that my brother is engaged with a wonderful and Godly woman who loves and fears God and i pray that the soon-to-come wedding will be filled with joy.

there are way too many things to be thankful for and i could go on and on. let's just say that God has really blessed me with the life i have and all that is in my life...

- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."
- Westminister Confession of Faith (Chapter 5, Section 1)

"The wisdom of God has found a way for the love of God to deliver sinners from the wrath of God all the while upholding the righteousness of God!!"
- John Piper

"Grace is the pleasure of God to magnify the worth of God by giving sinners the right and power to delight in God without obscuring the glory of God!"
-John Piper

"The very One from Whom we need to be saved, is the One Who has saved us."
- R.C. Sproul

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther

"I have to tell you first that I am ready to die. I have put my affairs in order. Your supreme weapon is killing. My supreme weapon is dying, because when you kill me, people all over Romania will read my books and believe on the God that I preach - even more than they do now."
- Dr. Joseph Ton, the exiled Romanian pastor (quoted by James Montgomery Boice)

"The best prayer I ever prayed had enough sin in it to condemn the whole world."

First) The Holy Trinity, by them we have life and life more abundantly. God for being the Creator of All and Father of All. Jesus for his loving sacrifice to make us once again the children of God. The Holy Spirit for being the voice of God and our connector to him. I'm just thankful for the Holy Trinity who help guide us through our day to day life.

Second) My family, where would I be without their compassion, sacrifice, and support

Thirdly) My friends for being there for me, lending a smile, and just helping me out when they can.

Those are the three core things I am thankful for.

Grace
Life (a few close calls too many to see how fragile it is)
Relative Health
Parents
Good Financial Situation (not the bestest but we get our needs)
Friends (to put up with my drama..>.<)
I believe in the sun even if it isn't shining. I believe in love even when I am alone. I believe in God even when he is silent.

I'm thankful for a lot of things.

One of them is my friends David and Tiffany, for giving me a place to go when I had nowhere else to go.

The next thing is my dad. He gave me back my old car and is paying the insurance on it until I can do it myself.

And then there's Daymon. I can't express how thankful I am for him.

Above all, my utmost thanks to the One who made all these things possible in the first place. :3

For the fact that this particular spammer/troll isn't the worst ive seen on CAA
For Gods protection in a world full of sin
For great people in a great community here at CAA
For my life which im learning to completely give over to God.

Those are just the things that come to mind right now. With so many things to be thankful for any one of us could probably fill up pages in a book or something. God has blessed us with so much.
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

[1] For the fact of John 3:16.

[2] And for being provided with all kinds of goodness necessary for life - the ability to eat, drink, rest, think about things, appreciate creation, pursue hobbies, etc.

1. For Jesus, and all the patience he’s had (having) with me... despite the fact of our arguments.
2. For a warm place to sleep, great free food, and soda… lots and lots of caffeinated soda! And a holiday that celebrates with copious quantities of the above articles.
3. For friends, in particular a best friend whose given me more compliments than I am truly deserving of...
4. For the RP, and CAA and the moderators that make it all possible. Thanks for place to escape from reality… even when I’m supposed to be doing HW instead :P.
5. For a 100% on the GRE writing section… though I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it, but I’m sure it’s important… I think.

I'm thankful for apathetic philosophy professors.

Q:"So the assignment is still due the monday after thanksgiving, correct?"

Response:"Or the wednesday,... or the friday,... anytime before Christmas, really. I don't care."
