Halloween Costumes!

I was surprised to see that there is not a Halloween costume thread yet, and decided to remedy that.
I've always wanted to do it, and my hair is getting long again, so this year I'm going as Princess Leia. XD I'm wearing my outfit around all day for kicks. I've gotten quite a few odd looks so far, and it cracks me up to no end. I'll share pictures later this afternoon.

Are you going as the original Star Wars Leia or as Leia in the later movies,Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi?

I'm dressed in gothic garb...the only reason this is funny is because NOBODY around here dresses goth...
People are giving me really weird looks...and my chains are noisy. XD

I was going to go to school with a copy of the 95 Theses taped to my shirt...but alas, I had little time and far to little will to actually do it...

HAH! Someone else who knows it's Reformation Day today! And here I thought I was probably the only one here....
And I, too, have had little time lately for a costume...and I'm a little old to go trick-or-treating, though I'm not to old for the day-after-Halloween candy sales...

I knew about it...and apparently promptly forgot. One of the students in my honors group did write it on the white board before class today...she wrote it in German...we were discussing it...but...
I suppose everybody forgot the moment the hippie arrived with a banjo...that's my favorite costume today...

I went to work in my feetie-PJs and had my hair done in to pigtails.
I work at a small craft and wedding supply store, so it was kinda funny to see the reactions people had.
Feetie-pajamas - $ 25.00
Hair ties - $ 3.00
Going to work in your pajamas priceless!

:B "Rhode Camelot has arrived!"
Arioc and I were Allen and Rhode from D.Gray-man. Someone in my Japanese class knew who I was, and I was happy. ^-^
And yes, those are festive lights and a tea kettle in the background!

masters (Shaolin staff ) face! (his masters master was Bruce Lee!) he just looked at me for a sec. then turned his head like a confused puppy! XD! he then just laughed it off and continued his lecture. man! the costume cost me a pretty penny though! the vest alone cost $90!! (but that is because it is really a kevlar vest, yay I'm bullet prof!) I'm going to use the costume for most of my cos-playing!

Pictures! Everyone's costumes sound/look cool.
I went in the Leia costume from Star Wars IV. My classmates thought it was funny/geeky and gave me a lot of crap, but I had a lot of fun.
I sewed my costume all by myself, no pattern, using another dress I have for measurements. A friend did my hair, and ended up doing a fantastic job - it stayed in and secure all day.
Here are a few photos:
A good shot of my hair.
One of my architecture classmates insisted on taking a picture of me with my camera, and stood on a stool to do so.
"Aren't you a little short to be a storm trooper?"

I'm for the most part too old to dress up, but since this started with Princess Leia...
I dressed up as her in 3rd grade. Had the real long hair and all. My mother made my costume, I believe almost exactly as the one in the movie. Everyone at school loved the gun more than anything else.
That was Halloween, 1983... boy, am I old... XD

Can't(or won't, rather) put up a full length photo of the costume...but this amuses me, so...here's part of it.
(Good heavens! The hand of the illusive Q!)

I was a fairy.. I tend to make my costumes an hour before trick or treating so it was kind of bad.
