This past week, I was able to go to St. Louis with my journalism class. I have never been to a city as big as that!
I had so much fun!! I got to fly! (I had never flown before!) I also go to ride on a metro train! I haven't done that before, and I also got to ride in a taxi (I have never done that either!)
LOL PLUS my Hotel (The Radisson) was only a block and half away from Bush Stadium (where the St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series)
It was a blast watching all the fans go ape! I got to watch all the craziness from my balconey
I was also only a block away from the arch...and I saw that A LOT! I even waited in line for two hours and rode to the top. (630 feet!)
It was sooo great! I also went shopping and got lots of cool new mangas and a stuffed skeleton dog from Hottopic. (he is sooo cute!)
So yeah... GREAT TIME.. I had!

Random fact: St. Louis is supposed to be the most violent city in America now. XD

Glad you had such a good time. I was in that lovely city myself a few months ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. What'd you think of the Arch? I was REALLY suprised, myself; it was WAY bigger than I thought it would be. Did you get to have any frozen custard (I did for the first time when I was there)?

Yep, top of the list as far as violent crime. That's the first thing I thought when I saw this thread. XD
I thought this was funny too:
The bad news for St. Louis was good for Camden, N.J., which in 2005 was named the most dangerous city for the second year in a row.
Camden Mayor Gwendolyn Faison said Sunday she was thrilled to learn that her city no longer topped the most-dangerous list.
"You made my day!" said Faison, who has served since 2000. "There's a new hope and a new spirit."

I have never been to St. Louis, but I have been to Iowa. Doesn't that make you jealous? HUH?

it was the most violent city? I have heard that the St. Loius across the River (in Illinois has a horrible ghetto area....and THAT is a very violent place.)
My cleaning lady was kinda rude though...
Ashley, I thought the arch was beautiful! I took so many pictures with it, and even made my friends go to that one area with lots of flowers and benches (it's right across the street from City hall... and I took some crazy pictures of them holding the arch, and leaning against it... it was awesome!
One picture that I took, (and I am not sure if it will come out, was on Thursday night. We had just gotten back from Union Station (and eating Hard Rock cafe') And the Arch was covered with fog...( at night with lights shining on it.) It was truly beautiful! I hope my pics come out!
I wasn't as impressed with the ride up though... I am not fond of small places and there were a lot of people there on Saturday... but it was ok.
Frozen custard? No I am sorry... I didn't eat that... although I did eat spumonni Ice Cream at the Spaghetti factory on Cleats Landing! (a very old part of St. Louis I think!)

My Unlce Dexter was born in Camden,New Jersey and my grandparents were married around there as well.Just point of interest.
btw:It's spelled Busch and not Bush,it has to do with the brewery,Anheuser-Busch
the makers of Budweiser and not the Bush political family in case anyone gets confused at that point.

Hey, rock out! My boyfriend and I ate there when I was there, and he was brave enough to eat it (I copped out and went for vanilla, but I did steal a bite). I wish we could have taken more pictures of the arch, but we only had a few days and when we went downtown it was already pretty late. Next time I'll make him take me to the bench and we can take crazy pictures, too! Thanks for sharing!

LOL my bad...>_< I thought it was it was bushe..but then I was like "no..that's Nascar!"
OOH Ashley! I thought that Spummoni tasted a lot like neopolitan ice cream. ^^;
the funny thing about the pictures was right after we finished taking the goofy ones another group of kids copied us. I asked them "Where did you get that idea?" and they were like "we saw what you were doing!" LOL
They say the highest form of flattery is mimicking.. ^_^

Glad you had fun! My cousin and his wife live there. He's a preacher.
You got a skeleton dog at Hot Topic? If it's a SkeleAnimal, I bought the cat version.

HEE I didn't see the cat, otherwise I would have bought it and said it was a fox..^^;
I am happy with dax tho, his ears are so floppy!

Fwoah...that's strange!!
I have seen Kit. She is cute! If I would have seen her, I would have so pretended that she was a fox!!!
My friend won a stuffed dog in a vending machine...and I go up to her with her stuffed dog and Dax in my hands and I was like
"LOOKEE!" BEFORE! *shows her stuffed dog* AFTER! *shows Dax*
she laughed.. it was great...
