Who's your favorite character from Peanuts? I've always liked Linus and Snoopy.

Snoopy is definitely my favorite. It was a dark and stormy night. But I really love pretty much all the characters. I still read Peanuts pretty often, and it's not Christmas for me until I've watched the Peanuts Christmas special.

Darn. I clicked on Linus, but after a half a second's thought it would have to be Shroeder for me. Listening to him play Beethoven, piano sonata No. 8 in C minor, Op. 13 ("Pathetique"); 2nd movement got me completely hooked. I had to go home and learn it. And here's to Vince Guraldi, who I listen to on Napster all the time.

One of my favorite Linus strips goes like this:
Lucy has had a bad day. She comes home and is just going on about how terrible her life is. Linus tells her to count her blessings. She says she can't think of any. He reminds her. "You have a little brother who loves you." The dam bursts. She starts crying on his shoulder.
And here's my favorite part of the Xmas special:
Linus: "Give me one good reason I should memorize these lines."
Lucy: "I'll give you five good reasons. (Slowly makes fist) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!"
Linus: "Those are good reasons."
The main reason I like Linus is that he's the most spiritual of the cast. I think the whole reason Charles Schulz had him believing in the Great Pumpkin was to tell us it's ok to believe in something people often think is silly. Like Christianity. (Well, sometimes.)

Charlie Brown all the way! Linus is the coolest character around, but I got to give my vote to the character I'm most like!

If it wasn't for Peanuts, I wouldn't be interested in animation, and if I wasn't into animation, then I wouldn't be into ANIME! Thanks Charles Schults! You made an otaku out of me...albeit indirectly!

I found out in the Peanuts Jubilee book that he created Franklin (the black kid) with no political intent whatsoever. Kudos! What's sad though is that about a month later (remember this was during the Civil Rights movement of the 60's), he got an angry letter from some racist Southerner who didn't want to see black kids and white kids playing together in his comics. :shake:

Oh yeah! I read about that! Charles Schults was so upset that he didn't even bother writing back! THAT ROCKS!!

I voted for Marcie because I enjoy how she persistently calls Peppermint Patty "sir", and because I can certainly identify with her ineptness with the world of sports...

I actually....don't really like snoopy. He's okay, I just prefer characters that talk. XD I love the strips where he writes, but I don't love him like other people do.

And Woodstock is actually one of my least favorite characters...I find the little lines in the word balloons more annoying than snoopy's thought bubbles.

Sooo...that'd be why.

Charlie Brown has been it. :thumb:
I mean he is the Everyman of Peanuts.IF something bad is going to happen to a character one will give you eleven that it will be good ol'Charlie Brown.
The poor kid, nothing seems to go right for him.And the only time he DID
win anything they misspelled his last name. :(

Snoopy for president!
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith-- that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
