Vanilla Coke/Pepsi Vanilla... Rant! :)

Disclaimer: This is a rant from a guy who just wants to enjoy the great test of vanilla coke again. You can ignore this rant if you want. It's mostly a joke, but every joke has some truth to it, don't ya think?

Now... I've been running around all of my local grocers, not being able to find Vanilla coke ANYWHERE!

I looked at Food Lion, Farm Fresh, Rite Aid, Gas stations... NOTHING!

and then, recently, I heard that they stopped "making" Vanilla coke!

Vanilla coke being my favorite drink of all time, I refused to believe it. So, I go online and look for any evidence that this piece of news is true.

Turns out, it is.

Hey, Coca-Cola Foundation, or whatever, what the HECK are you guys thinking? HUH?!

Where's my vanilla coke, huh?! WHERE'RE THE GOODS?! SHOW ME THA' MONEY!

SHOW ME THA' MONEY!

I NEED MY VANILLA COKE!

I don't want your boring pepsi black cherry, french vanilla crap!

NO! It's DISGUSTING!

It's DISGUSTING, Coca-Cola Foundation! NOBODY wants a drink who's taste goes away after 3 freaken SIPS! Even when it does have taste, it doesn't come anywhere CLOSE to the awesome taste that is vanilla cola!

I should switch to A&E CREAM SODA!

I SHOULD'VE A LONG TIME AGO! I SHOULD HAVE DITCHED YOU GUYS!

Why. WHY. WHY! WHY WHY WHY! WHY!

Why does CANADA still have Vanilla Coke?! Huh?! Why just America!

I'm not flying to Canada to drink a freaken SODA! Gimme back my favorite soda, and freaking THROW AWAY this nasty "Coke with Lime" and "Pepsi Passion" crap!

*ahem* Ok, I'm done.

oh and uh... Vanilla Sodas 4ever.

Um, I'm pretty sure Pepsi still makes Pepsi Vanilla...I'm almost positive I saw some in the gas station the other day. For that matter, I think Vanilla Coke exists as well.

And while I prefer Coke to Pepsi any day, Pepsi Vanilla is infinitely better than Vanilla Coke. However, Cherry Coke beats Wild Cherry Pepsi hands down.

I think it's just tough to find them in can form anymore, I don't see the 12/24 packs of Pepsi Vanilla like I used to buy, but I still see them in gas stations in the 20 oz. bottles, as far as I can recall...

Well, since Coke's HQ is in Atlanta. We still have every coke band that is out.

I'm sorry to say, but I hate Vanillla Coke and only like cherry coke at times.

I heart Pepsi Vanilla. Yes I do. Although I heart Cherry Coke more than Wild Cherry Pepsi ~ I think the former has more cherry, so it actually tastes more like a different product. The reverse is so with vanilla ~ Pepsi has a more noticeable vanilla taste, whereas I've had many Vanilla Cokes that just tasted like normal Coke. Not cool.

Also, whatever happened to Surge? I used to like Surge.

*scratches head* I don't even remember the last time I've seen vanilla coke up here in Canadaland. *shrugs* I'm not a fan of colas, although vanilla coke WAS good. Maybe they discontinued it since it was limited or something? Actually, another thign I noticed up here was that I don't even know the last time I've seen a Mountain Dew... maybe they got rid of that too because all I see is this other Mountain brand that's like it, but not quite. *shrugs* Either way, I prefer my ice tea to pop any day^^

Oh yeah, and they didn't really stop making it. they just stopped shipping it to USA. Probably North America as a whole. I don't remember.

Hello Pepsi/Coca-cola foundation. *megaphone: I don't care if sales were down. I just want my favorite soda!*

No Vanilla Pepsi or Vanilla Coke is a total and complete abomination to soda lovers everywhere, and should be taken as such.

I shall now add more to my rant.

ARE THERE FREAKEN HOLES IN YOUR HEADS OR SOMETHING?!

OH MY <dubbed: gosh>!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

I still can get Vanilla Coke from WaWa.

Wawa? I applaud you.

What I don't applaud, is Pepsi and the Coca-Cola Foundation. I can no longer buy Vanilla Cola (note: when I say Cola, I mean both cola flavored drinks, Pepsi and Coke) by the can, bottle, 1 liter, 2 liter, or anything!

Only in a Big Gulp wannabe cup!

nowhere NEAR the largeness that is the Double Gulp!

A WaWa large! SET BACK MUCH?!

Rant at WaWa wrote:WaWa, oh my <dubbed: gosh>!!!

Get a really big cup, so I don't have to walk all the way down the street, to 7-eleven, where they DON'T HAVE VANILLA COKE OR VANILLA PEPSI!

If you want to compete with WaWa, GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

OK?! SHOW ME THA' MONEY!

SHOW ME THA' MONEY!

I KNOW PLASTIC CUPS DON'T COST THAT MUCH TO MAKE!

I GOTTA SWITCH TO 7-ELEVEN! I SHOULD'VE A LONG TIME AGO!

I SHOULD'VE DITCHED YOU, WaWa!

And bring back your Vanilla Coke Icee. They rock.

I NEED 2 LITERS OF VANILLA PEPSI!

Let's march RIGHT down to the Coke Factory of Virginia (it happens to be in porthsmyth) and DEMAND they give us back Vanilla Coke!

If coke does, Pepsi will follow suit!

who's with me? Can I get a HOO HAAAH?!

You know, you could *gasp* make your own. It really isn't hard. I figured the canned version to be just a gimmick anyways.

I looooove any and all flavored colas. Even Coke Blak and the new Jazz stuff. XD I was so thrilled when they announced they were going to start bottling it, so I could have it more often than just at the 50's resturant...

Soo...I'm pretty sure Vanilla Coke is still around. I'm sure I've seen it somewhere...I even get vanilla coke in off-brand cans a lot.

Have a Vanilla Coke and a Smile, John Brenneman, May 2002

* * * This is a satire! * * *

The makers of Coca-Cola are planning to introduce Vanilla Coke in the near future, and test marketing has been so positive that they are now working on other new flavors of the world's most popular soft drink.

"Three out of four laboratory test guzzlers indicated they will buy Vanilla Coke as soon as it comes on the market," said Coca-Cola spokesman Marlin Fizzwater. "Consumers will be happy to know that Vanilla Coke will have 10% more potassium benzoate and a pinch more phosphoric acid than regular Coke."

Industry insiders report that if sales of Vanilla Coke are as brisk as expected, the company, which introduced Cherry Coke in 1985, will move forward with plans to launch a Chocolate Coke and a decadently carbonated Strawberry Short-Coke.

Also in the works are a trendy Coca-Colatté; a zesty, five-alarm Jalapeno Coke and a briny, pickle-flavored soda called Vlassic Coke.

Still in the research-and-development stage are: Garlic Coke, Diet Lima Bean Coke and Genuine Maine Lobster Coke.

Coca-Cola, invented in 1886 by Dr. John Stith Pemberton of Atlanta, was first marketed as a "brain and nerve tonic." Its popularity grew throughout the 20th century with such colorful marketing slogans as "The Pause That Refreshes" (1929), "It's the Real Thing" (1970) and "Things Go Better With the World's Favorite Multinational Beverage Conglomerate" (2001).

One of Vanilla Coke's selling points is its nostalgic appeal as it harks back to the drugstore soda fountains of decades gone by.

However, Coke officials reportedly have scrapped plans for at least two new beverages: 97% of test subjects succumbed to severe gastric discomfort after consuming Coke-e.Coli, and soft drink researchers in Central Africa reported few survivors in taste tests of Ebola-Cola.

Meanwhile, longtime cola drinkers are bubbling with excitement over the next wave of Coca-Cola and Coke byproducts.

"Personally, I can hardly wait for them to come out with that new Nacho Cheese-Flavored Coke everybody's been talking about," said Joe Sixpack, 24, of Aspartame, Oregon. "I'm Coke man. I'd pay good money for any flavor they put out -- Tuna Coke, Asparagus Coke, Pineapple Upside-Down Coke -- you name it. I've been hooked ever since I popped my first Cherry Coke back in '87."

The soft drink maker, which is also said to be tinkering with an all-natural Tofu Coke, has long touted the soft drink's therapeutic effects.

"The health benefits of guzzling 2-liter jugs of Coke are well-documented," said Dr. Pepper, a pop culture specialist with the Sprite Foundation.

Coca-Cola shareholders, he said, are also very excited about a new Coke formula that burns unsightly fat cells, relieves stress and makes you forget that you are paying a buck for a couple mouthfuls of brown carbonated water that costs less than one-tenth of a penny to make.

Don't worry, mitsuki. Vanilla Coke was a product of the 21st century. You didn't forget about it] true[/I] #1 drink of all time: Monster Assault. I'm sure it's still being made, but the local 7-11 only has the standard Monster lately.
