Feeling disconnected

Do you ever just feel a bit disconnected? Every so often I jsut sort of start feeling a bit disconnected, and I start posting on CAA and IMing a lot less. I don't know if things start feeling monotoous or what, but I'll just have weird little periods. Then when I have allowed myself to get distanced a bit, it feels a little more refreshing to be back hanging out with everyone and whatnot. Do any of the rest of you ever get like that?

I get them occasionaly aswell. Especially when my mind is all fried from too much work... I don't worry about it though. CAA is the kind of community where you can come and go as you wish and not feel out of place so it doesn't really bother me.

I think it's perfectly normal. While it's great to have social activities and an active interaction with others, we all need to take breaks on a regular basis and have time for ourselves. Even Jesus withdrew from the crowds to be on His own. I like designating these periods as quiet times and use them for reflections/meditations. I attest to the wonderful peace of mind/spirit that result from them.

Only when I'm not plugged into a modem.
But seriously, I like quiet time to write, draw, sit and think, contemplate the world we live in, faith and all that. Its very soothing. And much needed in this increasingly fast paced world.

It could be you are feeling a bit emotionally tired.
Listen to some music, watch some cartoons, sing some songs. It usually helps you feel better.

Sounds normal to me. Everyone has times where they need to withdraw and be with just their own thoughts or the quiet, moreso nowadays I would say since we are constantly being bombared with information from the media. Sometimes you just need to get away, mentally if not physically.
