Just wondering what all you older(as in time you've been a part) members have noticed over the years of being a part of this wonderful site.

what you remeber, changes you saw, you know that kind of stuff

One thing i have noticed is all the new people that allways come and go, i was gone for a while and it is intersting to see who is still here that i know...and who knows me, the new faces are always nice, and it is nice to always see all welcomed to this site

I remember some members that have left or been banned, mostly Talame, who hasn't been banned, btw. Where are you? ;3; Oh yeah and AngelSakura.

I even remember a time before I was a member when signature pictures were allowed in your sig.

I have noticed that some people aren't who you think they are.... they act one way on CAA and another on some chats...

I have noticed that people who ithought were one gender were another...much to my embarrasment.

I have noticed that despite our beliefs many still have different views, and that those views should be respected as opinions.

I have noticed the hard work our wonderful mods put into this site.

I have witnessed the blossoming of artists, where once their art wasn't so great but now it is. Practice makes perfect!

I have made many friends here on CAA. Friends, who though I may never meet in real life, will always hold a special place in my heart.

I've noticed there's more than one anime-loving Christian in the world besides myself! :lol:

I've noticed that there are more of us believers in the Lord Jesus who like some anime other than Keely and Ashley. :lol:

[Edit: That didn't come out right somehow... :sweat: ]

I've noticed that people may come and go but some relationships are solid rock for the rest of my life, even if they are no longer part of CAA.

....as long as there's Internet, that is.

PS: Talame is pretty busy with school, the last time I heard from her via email. Do keep her spiritual life in your prayers if you feel called to do so. :)

I've noticed that we have a lot of really sincere people that love Jesus, and that really makes me smile.

Things I've noticed in the time I've been here...hmm...

Well, I've certainly noticed how friendly everyone is here. Even though we all have our differences, we're all able to get along quite well, and I think that's really cool. I've also noticed how you can have really, really good friends and never have met them in real life. XD I've noticed how some new members will stick around, and others will only come around every once in a blue moon. I've also noticed that this place is a TON of fun!

That's all I can think of for now, though. :D

I second both of those! I have been on during two troll attacks and seen invisible mods save the day in stealth mode. And I have seen various ok artists turn into totally awesome ones.

I have found that the chat, YIM chat, and the Bump Thread are great ways to make a few friends.

I have found that ne matter how many people leave or get banned, and no matter how many people sign up but don't post much, CAA always manages to remain an open, loving, friendly community. Which is why despite practically not posting for the first few months I was signed up, I am now on all the time.

I remember a time when there were so few members that we could get away with having pictures in the sigs. Then I remeber the time when we over-bandwidthed our 45 GB transfer limit and had to shift to a smaller pipeline with no transfer limit. THAT was a crasy transition.

Then there are all the fun things this site has introduced me to:
* Homestarrunner
* COPPA
* Making Smilies
* AJAX
* Clive - someone who's dry sense of humor is wonderfully funny
* More anime then I can shake a stick at
* The joy of bashing Texas
* The idea that people CAN be civilized if they put their minds to it (and if you carry a large enough clue-by-four.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I may be back.

Hmm, I've yet to enjoy this. In time, though, in time...

Myself, I've noticed that the world out there is a scary place. *hides behind the safety of the CAA walls*

I've noticed that seconding what others have said is a lot easier than typing it out, so I second what a lot of people have said.

If a thread lives long enough, someone will make a comparison to Hitler or Nazi Germany.

Hey, Godwin said it first. I'm just repeatin' it.

you know, i don't know if can think of a thread where that has actully happened...or maybe it happens so much i don't care to remember....*goes off to ponder*

On CAA it hasn't, but that is mostly because we don't allow debates to reach the mudslinging phase, which is generally where the negative applications of Godwin's law apply. But thanks for bringing it up; I think it is one of the funnier internet "principles."

Mithrandir wrote:* Clive - someone who's dry sense of humor is wonderfully funny

Thanks]very[/i] encouraging environment. This is mostly a good thing, so rather than speak to the negative side of this I will simply say I am glad our forums are also a place where people can improve themselves.

I have noticed that the same threads tend to cycle. There will be a Naruto fan thread, for example, which will eventually drop to the archives and then several months later enough will appear. This is simply part of the natural cycle of time, though somewhat less poetic than the falling of snow or the flowers of spring.

I have realized that the internet can actually produce solid and lasting friendships, even if those individuals do not necessarily meet in person. At the same time, I am glad that there are those I trusted enough to meet and I enjoyed those experiences.

I have noticed that the bits of text that constitute posts can actually be informative, amusing, or enriching. Hopefully this one makes it worth my typing and your time.

I've noticed how most "RL" people I know can not understand this other place I meet and talk to people is. Some think I'm crazy. Some think I was before I ever mentioned CAA, but now have more evidence to support the claim.

I also remember this new kid we had here once. He posted a lot and really annoyed the mods. I figured he'd last about two months before being banned. Now he's an old timer with the third-most posts on the sight. I guess he still posts a lot.

Hmm...I didn't join the CAA right away, but when I saw it online 2 years ago, I noticed how much the site has to offer now.

UCP that was a poetic response...^_^

I have noticed how fun it is to get RL friends involved in CAA and to see them doing things on their after a few days of training..

Doe Johnson, Kiba Kun you guys rock!! *huggles* I am truly glad you guys listened to my annoying rantings about how awesome CAA is!!

I agree CAA is a very warm place...with lots of wonderful people.
