Juice in Japan

Postby Linksquest » Sat May 27, 2006 6:56 am

In several animes that I have seen Juice is like... the drink of choice over many other beverages. Sometimes characters seem obsessed with juice. Is this really how it is in Japan?

I didn't notice any unusual juice obsessions while I was there--except for mine. Japan has some great juice. And a lot of variety, too.

There were some people constantly drinking tea, though.

I've noticed that anime characters tend to drink juice over everything else. Soda, or pop, seems non-existent. But I guess it's healthier that way, right?

I think I've seen more milk tea in animes than juice...lol. But yeah, they definatly have an obsession with it. But like Faeriechica said it's healthier than soda.

That's one of the animes I was thinking about when I started this thread... but AIR also has juice commonly consumed as well as some other animes.
