When I get to Heaven, I can't wait to meet...

1. Simon of Cyrene. I know he's a "minor character" in the Bible, but the fact that this guy helped Jesus blows my mind.

2. The apostle Thomas. He gets such a bad rep as the "Doubting Disciple," when in fact he was the only one of the 12 with enough faith to explicitly refer to Jesus as God. Plus, I want to know if he really went to India, as the stories say.

3. Timothy. Paul's letters to him are a source of constant inspiration to me, and I want to meet the man that advice was for.

4. Adam. Okay, I know it's possible to pretty much blame everything wrong with the world on him. But I know as a writer how hard it is to name things at times; and Adam named everything? Woah.

5/6. Keith Green and Rich Mullens.

7+. Everyone here at CAA :)

What about you guys?

Dunno whether Adam went to Heaven or not, but I'd like to be optimistic. ^^

I'd definitely love to meet Paul, as his letters are exceptionally awesome, and my favorite books of the Bible. I'd also like to meet Solomon, and David. Oh, and Samson.

St. Francis of Assisi is another one I'd love to meet. :D

EDIT: And how could I forget Mr. T?

Someone taught Cain, Abel, and Seth how to worship God. Yes, I believe Adam and Eve are in Heaven. Yes, they sinned, but they confessed, and God gave them coverings for their nakedness. Eve invokes God's name both when she bares Cain (Gen 4:1) and Seth (Gen 4:25).

I would love to meet:

1. C.S. Lewis
2. Corrie ten Boom
3. Both of my grandmothers. They both died before I was even born. Though, I don't know if either was saved, but I can hope.

King David. The man wrote some great worship songs.
The apostle John. He seems like such a gentle soul.
C.S. Lewis. He would be a trip to talk to.
Same with Tolkien. I'd thank him for fathering the fantasy genre.
Moses. He must be the most patient man in the world. Well... to a point. :)
Mary. Both Marys, actually. They must have been very strong women.
Madeleine L'Engle. She's still alive, but I probably won't get to meet her this side of heaven. She's one of my favorite authors.
Many others. :)

Jesus!

I'd like to meet every last one of my ancestors in heaven.

I'd like to find out what kind of a person the apostle Paul was.

I'd like to find out if Melchizedek was a theophany or not and if not, I'd want to meet him.

I don't doubt it. I was speaking more in regards to personality. XD But now that I've thought about it again, once I'm in heaven I don't think I will care much. It's just interesting to think about... He was definately bold and brave, but he didn't consider himself to be an eloquent speaker and didn't have a commanding presence. I'm just curious as to whether he was the go get 'em, take charge type or maybe more soft-spoken.

Like many, I'd include Apostle Paul on my list. I just really hope our conversation doesn't go like this:
Me: So, in this passage, are you meaning to imply the previous subject or the following one?
Paul: What? No, that entire part is straightforward.
Me: ...great.

Otherwise, I'm not too sure. This topic can boil down to another "famous people you'd like to meet" thread, only with a slightly Christian twist. One person I would definitely want to talk to would be Leonardo Da Vinci. Given his work, we can presume the man was absolutely brilliant.

And... hmm... I'd try to meet as many people I could^^

Hmmm... I wonder what we'll even all LOOK like then! In our, new bodies and all we won't exactly look like our pictures anymore^^

The reason why I posted Kagome,Minmei and Flay on my list was to poke fun at everyone who may take this overly seriously.Really one can never tell who or whom one will meet in heaven. The important thing is that one gets there oneself and not who or whom else may be there.Besides who knows?
As far as the others on my list goes,it is not up to us to decide who is or who is
(or whom is or whom is not)not going to be there.

Since the line for seeing Jesus and Paul will be ooberly long I think I would like to met Enistien (My man!) , Daniel (The man after God's heart!), Pilate's Wife (was she Christian to have a dream about Christ? What ever happen to her and Pilate?), Da Vinci (to get a few things straight), Amilia Eirheart (what happened?), the soldier who pierced Jesus's side (Did you truely have a curse to live till the end of all time?), all the Marys (so we can get the story straight about who is who in the Bible), and King Tut (How did you really die man?)
*forgive my spelling, I'm too lazy to check it out.

King Tutenkamen probably wasn't a follower.

I thought that was David who was the man after God's own heart, not Daniel.

True, Tut probably wasn't but it would be nice to met him. And Daniel wasnt the "man after God's own heart." But He just seems like the guy who was to me. I am sorry, I made it sound like Daniel was the actual one after God's own heart(come on faith that kept him and his friends from burning! Oh yeah...)- my bad. Forgive me?

God probably judged the people who lived before Christ differently from now.So it is quite possible that there will be a lot of people that we will be surprised to see there such as Socrates,Plato and Aristotle since they were Pagan. However they would be judged according to the Light that they possessed. This is why I suspect that Plato will be there.
I am reminded of a story I once came across of one of the warriors who were companions to the great Irish hero Finn McCool,he was brought back to life when
Christianity had just begun to flourish in Ireland. One day he had a conversation with one of the missionaries and asked if he became a Christian he would see his friend Finn in heaven. The missionary said no,Finn was in hell.
Then he said that he wasn't interested because he didn't want to go anywhere that
Finn was not.
