HAIL in the middle of MAY?!

No joke... big hail storm right now! Usually our hail (if we even get ANY which is very rare) are the size of... well, half the size of peas :/ So I heard a few things of hail come down this morning and like "hm, that's odd". My cat was already freaking out. Then out of NOWHERE a big storm of it just came down! So noisy (SO glad I don't have a tin roof :/ Rain sounds bad enough on those.)

But yeah despite where I live as said, hail storms are VERY rare here. We hardly got any snow falls this year. The weather's just out of wack^^ I mean the last couple days was t-shirts and shorts weather so nice and warm-hot. No one saw THIS coming :/

...just one of those oddities I'd like to share^^ Just ended now, but still an odd thing to happen @_@

^^ I agree the weather is going nutso crazo!!! I mean tornado season is already WAAAAAY Out of the norm. I think by march there was like 170 torndoes when there are usually like 1/4 that many....

CRAZZZYY

My town was almost hit by 2 Torndoes this week..but the system made a freak turn at the last minute, or the storm we had didn't form a tornado till like 10 miles away....

Hail in May isn't too unusual, or at least not in Southern Ontario. Granted it's still a little early for those kinds of thnderstorms, but Environment Canada is also prediciting warmer than average temperatures for the summer.

Southern Ontario MAYBE, but what about on Van Island??

And yeah global warming is not surprising :/ Although this winter was FREEZING, still very little snow :/ For the summer though, last year wasn't AS hot as the year before (had to sleep downstairs in the heat :/) Oy...I like wearing tshirts and shorts and all, but when it's BOILING hot (and especially since I'll be at camp playing sports for a week this summer^^) doesn't sound like a lot of fun :/

It's been pretty cool for May here, actually. For almost a week it was overcast with temps in the 60s and 70s with some rain. Now it's starting to get up into the 80s again.

A hail storm in May would be a normal thing down here XD

It's quite usual to have rain in May here. :P

But hail only happens several times a year.

You think hail in May is scary? On April 24,2006,we got pounded by a thunderstorm that brought hail with it at about 2 p.m.Later,when it was almost 7 p.m.,there was a wall cloud that was lined up with the street next to where I live. :o Thank goodness it never became a tornado.

I've never been through a hail storm, except for once when I was living in Cali like... 10-11 years ago? @o@

Yeh, I don't remember too much about it. u_u
