I... hate... spiders! >_<

The worst part of summer... when the bugs come out >_< And with a head start during spring now, I've never seen more spiders appear out of nowhere in my LIFE! (My cat's not doing her job of killing them :/) Even though it's been mostly those little black jumping ones, I hate 'em^^ Think there was a nest that opened recently or something. And even MORE disgusting, watching TV in my bed last night and saw from the corner of my eye this little black thing crawling toward me :/ So using my "killer instincts" I grabs the nearest thing I wouldn't mind getting gutty (remote) and squished it down hard!

Sorry for all the spider LOVERS out there, but if they are in MY house and CLOSE to me, they go squish because of the fear that they WILL be crawling in my bed^^ I do like snakes though... (the other "most feared creature") because I think they're cute^^ Like lizards with no legs. Of course, snakes don't come with that rumour of "every year you eat 9 spiders in your sleep". What a thought to shudder to! Yeah spiders are what scared me into never going back to the woodpile at my grandparents place again... (where my fear orginated with this HUGE one that was over there... *shudders*).

I don't like spiders, although, they don't really bother me.
There was this one time at my gramma's house when this HUGE spider was behind the tv and my grampa sprayed it with bug spray and then like 50 little ones came out from under the dead one!! It was scary.

Ewwwww!!! >_< Reminds me about when my friend told me a story of how there were several spider nests under his friend's couch, because there would always been a new one coming from underneath of it >_< Luckily it was thrown away...

I don't suppose, Tenshi, that it would help you to know that, according to entomologists, you are never more than about three feet away from a spider...

Oh yes, I remembering hearing that one too^^ In my house now I'm not surprised (usually closer than 3 feet anyhow :/) Although at least in the winter, they are HIDING so you don't know they are there (which is a whole lot better than snuggling up to you in bed at night :/)

I liked spiders when I was a little kid, I actually had spiders instead of teddy bears... In fact I never got rid of them, they're still in the garage, waiting to be loved again... Yet for some odd reason, despite a heavy love and fascination with spiders as a child, now that I'm older I have a slight arachnaphobia... But only with certain spiders, I'm cool with the other ones (I had a pet tarantula once, that was cool, did you know that they shed their skin!) Anyways, I HATE black widows... Yet at the same time I am tantalizingly fascinated by them. They give a nasty poisonous nip, but I don't believe that adults can be killed by their venom. Yet at the same time, they look so ominous and hide in dark corners (making it difficult to see them and take the necessary steps to avoid them). At the same time, when because I am fascinated with them at the same time, one time I saw an albeino black widow (It was white instead of the tell tale black), it also had light red and blue lines down the underbelly, with the only feature that gave it away was an orange-red hourglass accross the underbelly. Normally the males are slightly lighter in color if I remember, but this one was definitely a female (the females have a giant fat belly :) )...

Sorry got to go,
Pascal

Without spiders Peter Parker would still be an average brainac and wouldn't be wearing a really cool outfit as Spider-man.

Ok,to be serious there are spiders and then there are spiders.I don't worry about the run of the mill kind that you find in your house every day. What I dwould be more worried about are the humungous exotic ones that get imported as pets and then end up getting loose.

You know the ones that have fur and are the size of Texas and come from
South America.

Hehe, my mom hates spiders...XD

I kinda like them. I'm not a huge spider fan...I don't get all excited and happy about them...but I wouldn't kill them. It's not their fault that they're not all that cuddly. XD

Eh, spiders are God's works of art too, and I don't destroy His creations unless they're seriously going to hurt me. Luckily, I've never been threatened before, so I haven't had to do resort to extreme measures.
:forehead:

Certain kinds are really cute, though, in my opinion.

*shudder* I have an INSANE fear of spiders...

I think it was when I was the the 8th grade..I was visiting my grandfather's house and we were like serchng for lisards and my dad opened up this bird house and there was this GIANT Brown Recluse spider I am talking like...6 inches long and 4 inches wide... *shudders*

and the wolf spiders around my house look SO CLOSE to what Brown Recluses look like, but they don't have that violin shape that BR's have..just a regular stripe....

but yeah..I see a spider... i freak...I will not enter the room for hours....after killing the evil creature.

Im not a fan of spider but to tell you the truth, the bug I'm most scared of is the moth @_@ Over here in England they aren't too bad, but when I went over to the states 'shudders' You guys are mega unlucky. I'm so glad I don't live in Florida.

But some moths can be really pretty^^ Like those huge red atlus moths^^ Oh and those striped tiger ones^^ Yeah they can get big and I picked on up once that was the biggest I've ever seen and I'm sure some would even think it was a butterfly!

*reminds self of Rod and Todd screaming "Moth! Moth!"^^*

You know I may hold a minority opinion here, but I actually kinda like spiders. As a kid, I used to freak out if someone tried to kill a daddy longlegs. Recently I considered getting a pet tarantula, but then I read about how fragile their exoskeletan is. I would be too tempted to hug it and kiss, and probably end up murdering it in the process. Still...cute. I guess I'm a bit like Wizard Howl in terms of liking spiders and other creepy pets.

The thing I hate about summer is that while, like St. Frances I love all of God's critters, I absolutely HATE bees and wasps. You can drop weights on thier heads and they NEVER die!! Somehow, I've managed to never have a bee or wasp sting in my entire life...and I intend to keep it that way. I go on the war path when I see a wasp outside...I CAN'T REST UNTIL IT'S DEAD!!!

But I don't like spiders either. D: Or... just bugs in general. xD;

They're not fluffy or poofy with fur. u_u Just... scary manleg hair. D:

I don't care, really, but if they're in MY house, they're as good as dead. I don't kill them though. :B I usually just scream and wail. You can say I'm territorial.

Spiders aren't so bad. If they're smaller than a dime, I actually kinda like them.

Not like snakes, though. Snakes are the most hideous creatures on the face of the planet... Well, next to... *shudder* ...tapeworms...

I am TERRIFIED of spiders....if one is in my room I can't sleep or do anything else...
Because I live in a patio that was converted into a room rather poorly....there are spaces at the windoes and such where these HUGE larger than a quarter size brown scary spiders come in. I usually call someone to get them, but the other day when I was here alone I dropped a 12 pack of soda onto one. =(

I am also scared of bees. More scared of bees than spiders. I used to scream and run away when a bee was near me. No I just stand really still and close my eyes....

*shudders* As much as I'd love to go to Australia, stories of the spiders the size of dinner plates and I believe those tunnel webs live there (and are one of the world's most poisonous spiders), sort of keeps me a away a little^^

Here's a scary word for you: bird-eating spiders :/ *shudders* A spider big enough to pull that off :/ I think those are from the South American tropics though, but I could be wrong^^ Although I think they resemble tarantulas, which don't bother me :/ I think because they don't have those long slender running legs and are just plump and furry. Not sure if I'd be up for holding one any time soon though^^ I still remember the days when I played with spiders and raised them so their eggs would hatch... I remember seeing a show on TV where a person did the perserve butterflies by pinning them onto a board thing, so I actually killed and handled a spider to try and do that >_< *shudders* As far as I know, even when I was little I never picked spiders up unless I knew they were dead... although I'd touch just about every other bug out there^^ I remember thinking how gross it was when you pulled off a daddy long leg's leg and it still moved around and twitched... :/ Not trying to be mean and mutilate the gross critters, but more of a science experiment you could say^^
