Guiding influence?
Guardian spirit?
Spiritual being also fits, but it's not very broad. These are just some thingsI found on dictionary.com. I'm not sure if there is another word for Angel or not though.

Mal'ak (mal-awk) is Hebrew for angel.
Aggelos (ang'-el-os) is Greek for angel.
Hooray for E-Sword!
Also, it seems like it could be renered "messenger," or "ambassador" if that helps.

Seraph isn't much of a name. But Seraphim is! (Also a character from megatokyo) But I guess you can still use Seraph for a name ^^

Seraphim means "Burning One", Cheribum means "One Who Covers" (Rough, ROUGH translation)

chibi, something you might also consider for a name is perhaps looking at the meaning of angels that are in the bible, then finding names in other languages that have the same meaning

If I remember right, Sephiroth's name meant God's Wrath. But I doubt you should use that one. Too many people know it as an evil name.
Anyway, there are three archangels named in the Bible: Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael. Uriel is also mentioned, but in apocalyptic works.

if you're interested in different languages, I have two to offer:
Malaikat (Malay/Indonesian)
Tenshi/Tianshi (Japanese/Chinese)

Nephilim is an interesting one

mmmmm, as i recall, the term nephilim isn't actually in reference to any sort of spiritual messenger, but rather the children that were desended from the "sons of God" and "daughters of men" as stated in genesis prior to the worldwide flood

oh, that's right. NM, Nephilim is actually a word that refers to humans (ie, the decendants of Anak in Numbers and the Sethites in Genesis)

Seraphim is the plural form of the word so if you go with anything I would go with Seraph. Just a suggestion.

Enjaru is probably the derived word for angels from English into Japanese, since it sounds like 'angel'.

as i recall the term "angel" translates to english as "messenger" so perhaps what you should look for is the japanese term for messenger

That's because it's a name translator XD to get a name to be spelled in Japanese
