Where is ur dream place to live? Mine is in a log cabin 1750-2500 sq ft, on a stream/river in Illinois about an hour to an hour and a half out from Chicago. The place has to be within 30 min of a decent library or bookstore and 20 min out from a good dojo. The town or county laws will allow me to run a smallish farm. And thats about it.

Finland! South of Finland would be better during the winter, but really I'd take anywhere there.

In a simple home dug out of the side of a hill in a tornadically active area, complete with hefty weather station.
Hey, if I'm gonna dream, might as well make it good.

If I could bring my church (the people, of course), my closest friends, and of course my husband
, I'd like to live in forested mountains, within sight of the ocean. As long as it isn't too cold, we have internet access, and a town/city with all the modern amenities is no more than 20 minutes away. It's not too much to ask for, is it?

Mine used to be Summerhaven near Tuscon AZ (it used to be so beautiful up on top of that mountain! perfect temperature bright green trees and clumps of red lady-bugs and SNOW!!! yeah.) But then a wildfire burnt the whole area down along with my childhood idea. But as I grow older, my ideas become more imaginative, instead of a simple single level house I want to live on a university, prefferably of my own creation. It would be very different from modern universities, it would have no majors that are generally taken for money earning purposes (such as the bussiness or management degrees) but only majors in subjects such as math, science, writing, philosophy, history, as well as new majors in creativity and wisdom (two majors deeply missing in this nation). Classes could be taught in the open air or inside, with the archetectual design being based of the greeks. And the entire campus would be one giant garden with brick and cobblestone pathways instead of concrete streets with cars and noises. It would have one huge library with a huge collection of books and the eatery would be replaced with a giant facility where student could study with windows looking out towards a picturesque scene of mountains, valley and rivers (The University would be nestled in a mountainous region). There would also be a massive chapel lively placed in the center of the University with both rooms filled with glowing stained glass windows and iconography and blank walled rooms, (whichever floats your spiritual boat) where students could consider the great beyond and worship the Lord our God. Further more, I would have no grades issued, or degrees here and no time demands or actual scheduales. The atmosphere would be designed to inspire peace, kindness, a fascination for learning and creativity. Tuition would not exist and food would be gained from robots that harvested it from our local land. The only requirement for continued attendance would be a deep continued desire to learn more. Loud parties, drugs, s-- (unless its a married couple attending), alchohol and the driving of cars would be strictly forbidden. Loud arguments would be forbidden but instead people would be encouraged to argue through use of their normal voice or even better, through reports! Here I could research, study, philosophize and teach in peace and joy bringing the fruits of knowledge to others... Of course it will never exist because governments love honking car, money making majors, money making use of sinful activities, grades and degrees (so that employers can be lazy and not judge the person on personal experience but only off a piece of paper). Well, there you have it you not only have my perfect idea of a place to live but also my favorite idea of a university.

Bang smack in the middle of Tokyo City. Preferably close to Akihabara while I'm at it.
I'm simple minded, forgive me.

Heaven?
Actually, I'm pretty happy with where I'm living right now (Australia, Sydney). Just wished my house (a flat actually) was bigger with more room. So small I can't put more computers in without burning the electrical wiring in the walls :\

Well, right now, any house in TN is good for me.
But preferably a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 2500+ sq feet, basement, garage, heated pool with its own caretaker, 30 acres, a waterfall on the property, a storage building, fruit trees, a 16x16 room for meeeee, two story, wrap-around porch, wrap around balcony, a creek on the property, ceiling fans, hardwood floors, pantry, and, EW, a non-sticky keyboard! Yuck! What is that on my Alt key?!?! EW!

I wanna live somewhere ...uh... a place that we all bleed chocolate. And I can have an arm made out of battery-acid.
Or just somewhere near my best friend. That'd be optimal, seeing as there's not really any other place I'd want to be.

I want to live in a paid-off house somewhere within the scope of civilization, but not too far from my place of employment. I know... I'm asking a lot. Of course, this all depends on what God wants to do with me. ^^

Santa Monica
or Ventura, anywhere near the sea.
Going back to live in Brazil might be pretty cool though.
