Peter Tomarken, 1942-2006

I just found out that the most underrated game show host of all time, Peter Tomarken, was killed in a plane crash this morning.

As a lifelong fan of Press Your Luck, I can only say that we've suffered a tremendous loss.

GSN will air two tributes to Peter, one each on Tuesday and Saturday. The former will be the excellent documentary Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal, which will air at 9 PM Central. The latter will be a nine-hour PYL marathon, from 8 AM to 5 PM Central.

I'm sure even the Whammies are crying now...

He will be missed. He was one of the best game show hosts around.

May he rest in peace...with big bucks and no whammies.
