Ok, so today at my youth group I forgot we were going to have a famous singer sing for us. And this morning I was looking for my youth paster and I thought the famous singer worked at our church so I asked her really rudly where my youth paster was(woops!) and she told me kindly where he was. and it wasn't till later that I realized that she was famous!!!! And eventuly though the day she remember my name and we became friends!
Yeah so anyways, I thought it was cool that I met and became friends with someone famous.
Her name is Beth Champion Mason

On two separate occasions in San Francisco, I've seem well known people in person unexpectedly. Once when I was attending a conference at a hotel, I ran into Mother Teresa (who was the speaker actually) as she was being escorted by some Secret Service men (or so I presume). I had no idea she was such a small woman... perhaps barely 5 feet tall it seemed to me and so frail looking. It was hard to imagine someone like that doing all she had done.
On another occasion, as I was leaving a BART station through the pay gates (BART is a sort of light rail transportation for those of you who don't live in north CA), I saw Howard Stern entering (I later found out he was in the city to promote his radio program. To hear his language as he talked on the cell phone, he did not like being in San Francisco.
But when it comes to actually speaking with famous people, I haven't done that

I've met a few famous people in my time. The wolf talked to Jennifer Knapp for a while once (I think spiritusvult spent a day with her, IIRC).
I have a picture on my cell phone of me talking to at least two major icons in the computer world (Woz and Wall).

Cool.
I've met the guys of Building 429 and have their autographs. We even talked shortly about the bandages I had on my hands after burning them with coffee the day before. (long story. XD ) I also got to meet four members of Jars of Clay and have their autographs as well. Both bands in the same day. I'll have to post pictures somewhere.

Sadly, I've never met a famous person. What makes it worse is that I live in Miami. So I go to the mall and leave. But my friend goes to the mall and tells me all about how she saw Jennifer Lopez promoting some perfume.

I very briefly met Bonnie Rideout (celtic music star) at my job, not realizing at the time who she was.
And while this does not count as meeting, I did receive an email in response to one of mine from Jerry Holkins from Penny Arcade. That was cool.

Cool. I've met two famous people. I spoke once briefly with Maurice Strong, and I once got to shake hands with then Pime Minister Paul Martin (I also offered him some nachos). I've also met a rear admiral, and have met a few other people who are famous in their research field.

Mother Teresa came to my church back in '88 or '89 when she was founding one of her houses in Phoenix. I was pretty young, but I met her.
I met Ice T at the airport on my way to World Youth Day last summer.
I also know a slew of people who are relatively famous in Catholic circles.

I once almost ran into Michael Jackson - he was walking alongside a wall with a half-moon of bodyguards around him. He was visiting South Africa. Not that I wanted to meet him...

I'm sorry to say that he didn't. They were good nachos too: lots of cheese, jalapeno peppers and chicken.

I've met a few people. I met Jaci Velasquez, 4Him (I got their autographs, even invited them to my high school graduation lol), FFH, Bruce Willis, Puff Daddy, I think Sylvester Stalone, and Donald Trump too. lol And... oh Nsync and O-town too, if anyone remembers them.
The only reason I met the last few people at all was cause I won some special pass from a radio station to be on the red carpet when Planet Hollywood opened in New York.

This is an interesting topic. ^_^ Once I chatted with Brad from Five Iron Frenzy at a birthday party. I didn't know it was him until afterward (my mother told me). It was kinda weird, it seems that he is the cousin of the friend's party we were at.
I don't think I've ever met anyone else famous, but I do know people who met people who were famous. If that counts.
My great aunt said that Elvis spilled coffee on her in an elevator. Haha, he was sorry.

My friend`s sister is a famous Christian singer named Cathleen Carnelli.
Not really a big friend, just an acuaintence. Just wanted to make it easier to understand.
Since Steven Tyler lives 5 minutes away from me I`ve seen him a billion times. Okay, probably five.
I was friends with a girl on PBS` "Zoom".

My father use to do landscaping for Bob Hope many years ago.
I had the opportunity to have dinner and talk with Strom Thurmond, watched the first George Bush ride a train past our house during his campaign (he waved at us, I know he did because we were the only one's standing there. Chatted with Steve Green once after one of his performances.

Oh, I forgot, I attended a fundraising dinner with Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa some years ago. I didn't really meet him as much as sit near him and shake his hand.

At my church we have had alot of "famous" christian bands come for concerts. All of which I've met. Thousand Foot Crutch, Kutless, Skillet, Hawknelson, Plus One, Jump Five, John Rueben, Five Iron Frenzy, Roper, Falling Up. There is alot more, but those are the ones I can remember and the ones I got to meet.
Chef Tony, you know the guy who did those maricle blade knife infomercials? Where he cuts the pinnapple in half and stuff. Well yeah he's my god father. We are good friends with him and his family. Known him since before I was born.
Interesting story is that his kids used to be babysat by Tia and Tamara Mowry from the show "Sister Sister" on Disney Channel. I never met them, but they told me about them.
My dad has met Reggie White the football player, the host of "Deal or No Deal" before he was the host that is, and he knows the guy who does those "Oxi-Clean" commercials quite well.
My dad you could say is kind of famous, he is on national tv every once in a while. He goes on air at QVC, that one shopping channel. He's sold a wide range of things. I don't know what he sells now days, but I know he has sold the "Hangaway" and gloves that are made out of cavalar.

Well where do I start. I guess I would say my uncle was a famous person
because he was one of the people to start the ACC. Just this weekend they gave a award in his name during the the half time at one games. Marvin "Skeeter" Francis.
When I was young a new Toys R Us opened in the area and local TV personlities appeared at the store. One of them was kids show host known as "Ranger Hal" played by Harold Shaw who also got to play a one time bit part on the TV show "Gunsmoke" as a traveler getting a hotel room.
When I was older I went to a custom car show and got a autograph picture of Martin Milner and Kent McCord who starred on "Adam 12" police drama.
When I graduated from high school I got a job working in the kitchen of a local night club which had some famous musical groups play there. One of the biggest to play there was Frank Sinatra Jr while I was there. They all had to walk through the kitchen to get to the stage.
Back in the 80s I attend a ceremony of the oldest and first airport in the US, College Park Airport. Kirby Grant who starred in the TV show "Skyking" appeared at the show. I got autograph picture from him. He was later killed in a car accident on his way to see the space shuttle Challenger take off.
I got to work with a local radio personlity, Johnny Holiday, on a volunteer fire and rescue recruitment video because he was rescued from a airplane crash that I responded on with my fire company and others and he has done many of them for pay back for what we all did for him after the crash. He is also a actor for a stage company in the area, does TV commericals, and is the radio announcer for Maryland Terps games.
Just last year Robert Patrick who appeared on the "X Files" and now on "The Unit" appeared at Firehouse Expo in Baltimore as part of the promotion for the movie "Ladder 49" which he was one of the stars.
There have been a few fan shows I have attended where stars of TV and movies have appear at. One of them was Frank Gorshin who played the Riddler on the 60s "Batman"
