Spasms and such

you know how sometimes you get spasms in places of your body that you can't really control? Well, I'm having that right now, and it's been going on for the past 2 or 3 days. The right side of my nose keeps twitching irregularly. It was all kewl and kinda funny at first, but now it's just kinda getting annoying. Anyone have any remidies for this kind of thing?
Part 2: kinda OT. Whenever I crack my neck (like one cracks knuckles, except I do my neck by touching my ear to my shoulder, hands free), I get a strange sensation shooting down my arm to my hand and fingers, something like an electric shock. Could this mean that cracking my neck in such a way is screwing with my nervous system? If so, no doubt I should stop doing that, right?

Hey, that happens to me too. My leg muscles will pulse weird-like, and sometimes spots on my stomach and arms do it, too. Oh, and my eyebrow. So you're not alone.

You may want to get tested for ticks (not the parisite). Ticks causes spasms and weird feelings in your muscles.
A freind of mine has ticks and you notice it from time to time but if he takes his medicine its barely noticable.

Tics. ^^
Tics aren't the same thing, though. Twitching of a specific muscle is usually involuntary, often a phenomenon called a fasciculation, and usually doesn't mean anything.
A tic is a voluntary, complex movement, either a stereotyped writhe or grimace, or sometimes a vocalization. Tourette's disorder is the most notorious -- the one that people think of where people shout obscenities -- but actually most Tourette's sufferers don't do that. The Tourette's I've seen mostly have grunting or coughing, or shimmies or twists. Although fully voluntary, they can't stop themselves or they feel immensely bound up and anxious, so I consider it to be uncontrollable despite being voluntary. It is also a tremendous source of anxiety and embarrassment to them, which makes the tics even worse.
There is also something called transient tic disorder which is a short-lived onset of a particular tic, either vocal or motor, unlike Tourette's which can be life-long.
I don't think these are tics, but if persistent, a doctor should evaluate them to be sure.

It depends on how long they have been going on and how major they are, also if you have had any neurological problems in the past.

Nooooooo they aren't tics. I know what those are. This is just your normal spasm kind of thing... you know, like what you get when your eyelid twitches, like a single small muscle randomly contracting. It hasn't been going on like 24/7 or anything... just on and off once or twice a day.

That's the worst. Every once in a while, I'll get a twitch in my leg, and it gets really annoying.

My nose twitches if I'm focused (only occasionally). My arms and legs also jump and I shudder really hard when I'm falling asleep.
What's funny is when I hear something and I'm focused, I feel my ears twitch.
Yet I can't force them to do that.
