I'm an honorary Aussie, mostly by credit of St. Cute of Paltalk.

Yes, I am and my bro Sam (Warrior4Christ). Zane and Talame are also. I'm sure there are a couple more (and Ultra Magnus as mentioned).

Is this St Cute not CAA related?

There's also LorentzForce, Rita, and several less active members.

Sorry what /who is St. Cute of Paltalk? A person?

Actually .. I am from the planet of Cybetron, but as a "robot in disguise", my citizenship is Australian. :)

We were going to live in Austrailia for about a year. I'm not sure what happened to that idea.

St. Cute is totally unrelated to CAA. There is a chat program called Paltalk and I have it. In this program, you can chat individually with other people whose names you have, you can create a room to chat in-either private or open, and you can visit rooms in different areas. St. Cute is the screenname of someone from an Australian Catholic room I've visited a few times.

Australia is a difficult place to live because if you lose your grip, you'll fall off the Earth. :)

I want to go to Brisbane, Sidney, and maybe Melbourne, home of the Toxic custard guy. Oh, and I gotta try vegemite.

Not to mention most things are more expensive here because of our relatively small population (20 million).

That website is great!!
This is my favourite part:
The way you ask about the life of an Australian makes it sound like we are some magical, mystical people, living a strange existence in a faraway land. Well depending on where you are, we may be faraway, but - and I hate to break this to you - it's not that strange and we're not that mystical. Life in Australia is quite staggeringly similar to life in most other western countries.

I have that problem daily.

Actually, someone's already thought of that with the Tilt Australia Campaign; the main point to it being that drought can be cured in central Australia by tilting the continent so the water runs down (see the last section on that page).
Actually, check out the rest of that site. It's an Australian parody news show (hence the name CNNNN), and has parodies of many things like commercialisation. Check out the 4-kids (a different 4kids, mind you) link for McDonalds parody advert videos (with Aussie accents  ).

I spent a week in Australia. Brisbane area was very nice, and for a big city, Sydney didn't seem too bad either. Haven't been to Melbourne. And uh, you don't have to go there to try vegemite. You can get it here, although, I don't know why you'd want to... <gags on the stuff>. Although, I'd take vegemite over marmite....

Is it true the entire country is run by the descendants of Skippy the kangaroo from the 1970s kiddy show?

I don't know how to find it here except if I can get it from a certain friend. Partly I want to try it because of stuff about it from theologyweb folk and partly because people have such a clear reaction about liking or disliking it.

Well, the secret to liking the taste of vegemite is to apply it in very small quantities to your toast or whatever and you need a reasonable bit of butter or margarine with it.
You DO NOT put lots on!

I know I've seen it in the supermarket before. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was an isolated thing. Perhaps at a Trader Joes? or a Cost Plus World Market? I dunno, but I have seen it.

Esoteric, since I know from whence you come, they also sell it at All Things Bright and British in La Mesa.

But I've seen it in Vons, even. Usually it's in the spice aisle (interestingly enough).

All Things Bright and British? Wow, I've never heard of that store before..I should check it out...although I wouldn't be looking for Vegemite. I wonder if they have Jaffas...
