Chocolates: The easy to find 'love potion?'

Since Valentine's day is around the corner, everyone is putting their thoughts into chocolates. For those of you who don't know, chocolates contain a high percentage of "phenylethylamine," a natural chemical in your body that helps release dopamine (a 'feel good' chemical inside the brain).
Supposedly, chocolates can provide a way to experience feelings of happiness and euphoria when eaten (or quite possibly a little sense of romance).
Whether that is true or not, I personally I think it's the sugar that gets me when I eat chocolate. But since it's a common theme to give them out during Valentine's day, I guess there is a better reason to give out sweets to that special someone.

Dark chocolates taste great and they actually do give off more noticable effects than the milk chocolate kinds.

Just a friendly reminder to keep the comments clean.
I don't know about chocolate being an aphrodisiac; I just think it's tasty.

Hmm. I have read that chocolate contains quantities of a narcotic substance (although it is in such small quantities that you couldn't get high off of it if you tried), but never the side effect of causing feelings of euphoria and possibly romance. I've never felt anything, and I even love dark chocolate!

Maybe that's just it. You're falling in love with the chocolate.

I hate dark chocolate... Blech.
Milk and white chocolate are awesome, but I don't ever recall feeling a sense of romance after consuming them. Also, I despise Valentine's Day.

That's true for some dogs, but not others. In fact, my grandparents' dog loves chocolate! They feed it to her every now and again and she hasn't gotten sick from it at all. I've also heard that white chocolate is quite safe for dogs to eat.

To be honest, I really don't care about valentines lol. I give cards and stuff to my friends. But, it's not something i dread and it's not something I LOVE either
