Odd request but...

could somebody help me find an earing over the internet? I'm thinking of getting my ear pierced and I think a helix earing would be cool. But i've searched over all the websites i know of that can help and the only ones i've found are ones for girls and well, that would be a bit odd for a guy to wear a girl earing. So could you go out of your way to help me find a Helix earring? Feel free to point and laugh if you think i'm a baka for even thinking such a thing

dude... no one will know it's a girl's earing, if you like it then get it!

^^; that's the catch. I'm not sure which i'd like. it's true my hair would hide the fact that it's a girl earing although out of the ones i've seen, their either crooked, to bulcky, painfully obvious it's a girl earing or cheap. I found one at DNAstuff.com but it was like $700 and though i can afford it i'd rather not spend my money on that.

Hmmm... have you tried looking in inconspicuous places like dollar stores? It's amazing what you can find when you're not looking for it.

oh so you mean you want a strait back and not one of those hooked backs? is that the issue here?

uhhhhh... *blank stare* not quite sure what that means but i'm guessing a strait back is one with the needle and a little stud thing that keeps it in place? if so then yes that's what i'm looking for.

wait you want a stud? ok my advice is find a helical shape and put it in after your ear heals. it will only be a month or two, studs can be more expensive then regular earings. get a small gold or silver ball or something as a stud, places like clairs sells them and will pierce your ear for free if you buy it!

i made up one of them:P but a stud is sharp, it lets it actually pierce your ears.

the hook ones look like this

This is just a regular post one

It's not that any are "best" its what you want. I have both of my ears pierced. I went to a professional tattoo/piercing place though not some boutique and I'm glad I did. They didn't use a gun on me but a hollow point surgical needle. It hurt when they did it of course but there was no pressure like with the gun so it didn't hurt much at all the next couple days and they took alot more time and care. I have two 16 gauge stainless steel rings with balls in the middle. Just get whatever kind you want basically they're your ears.:P Oh and get a smaller guage first off for sure, I wouldn't recommend anything more than 16 gauge to start.

Are you wanting to find that earing to get put in when you get your ear pierced? Because you might not be able to do that-- sometimes, ear piercing places have specific earings that they have for you to choose from to have put in, and you HAVE to use theirs (especially if you're getting your cartilege done, because they have to use a sharp earing to pierce it.) You can change those earings out after they've healed though, and use whatever you want.

I'm not sure if that's how it is everywhere though, so maybe wherever you're getting it down they'll let you use whatever you want.

yeah, i've had 5 piercings done in my ears, and each time i had to pick a special earing that was sharp enough to pierce my ear.

They are right kiba. Take it from us girls! Usually when you get an ear pierced they use a special earing to do so. This earing usually needs to stay in for at least 6 weeks.. THEN you can put whatever earing you want in. I doubt that if you got a helix now, and took it somewhere they would put THAT one in when you get your ear pierced. Also, when you get your ear pierced you have to do A LOT of cleaning otherwise It could get in fected. (like put this special liquid on your ear like twice a day. they usually provide it for you and all that jazz...)
