Joyous Epiphany

A blessed Epiphany to you all, my friends.
It is my prayer that the advent season was filled with good cheer for you and your families.
My family really doesn't do much with the twelve days of Christmas or with Epiphany but recognize its existence on the calendar, so I'm not very aware of any traditional greetings or eatings that may take place on this day. I am sure, however, that any day is a good day for marzipan.
At any rate, this is a good day to spend a little time reflecting on why the Christmas season lasts such a long time - from the beginning of Advent to the day of Epiphany - about a month or so in length.
May the Lord bless you in the new year.
