Christmas: Give Christ His gifts

If Christmas is Christ's birthday, instead of fussing over what Christmas gifts we will receive or give other ppl [you know, all the shopping madness], perhaps it is an excellent time to consider what -you- can give to Christ this celebration season. What would be the best gift to Christ other than just.....yourself. :)

Examples of gifts:

1) Spend extra time in your prayers or quiet time (If you haven't been consistent with your prayer schedule, firmly dedicate time to praying)
2) If you've been struggling with a certain sin, dedicate extra effort to resist it during this Advent season with Christ in mind
3) Say sorry to the person you've had a conflict or even better, forgive someone you have had a hard time doing so
4).......[insert other actions that you feel led to by the Spirit]

I'm sure Lord Jesus notices the extra mile you took for Him this season and would make Him very happy on His birthday. Give yourself to the Lord this Christmas ~ He asks for nothing else.

No matter what the media or other ppl say, only you can decide that Christmas is about Christ by living it out. :thumb:

Thank you Mave! this is an awesome idea!

Sometimes we get so caught up in getting and giving(not that there is anything wrong with giving) that we forget who's birthday it really is.

^-^ Thank you again. I want to do this.

Thank you for reminding us of the reason for the season, Mave.

In this gimme-gimme-gimme day and age, we need to sit back and think about Who the greatest Gift and Giver of all is and all He has done for us, and what we can do for Him.
