Day by Day...

Do you guys often make the effort to go by the old saying, "Living each day as if it was your last?" To spend each hour doing something productive and not wasting every precious minute of it...

Often we let time slip through our fingers and just not attempt to try anything challenging or meaningful throughout the day. We procrastinate work, push aside our hobbies, and forget to reflect on what has happened throughout the day. For instance, there have been so many things that I didn't do this year that the months have been sort of a blur. I wish I could've done the things I wanted to this year, but I just let time go ahead of such decisions. Things that would have been memories that I could have treasured just didn't happen because of my failure to seize the day.

Just wondering if such a question applies to any of you. Hope what I said didn't sound a little confusing.

Oh definately not... It would be way to stressfull.... Also i disagree with that notion actually. I believe we gotta sit down... relax.... and just.... live... without worries or care or doing anything. It also helps you concentrate on God more. You see, everybody is so busy these days, people don't notice the things around them. Take a walk outside right when it's dawn. When the blue and the black separate outside. It's totally different. Everything is so quiet, no cars. And you have this sense of inner peace sort of.

I am not saying we all should be lazy, but I am saying we are too overworking, and too bent on time. I believe A calvin and hobbes comic strip spoke of this well

Calvin was complaning to his dad how 6 minutes for cooking a microwavable dinner was too long. He was all "WHO HAS THE TIME FOR THAT?"

That's pretty much how the world is now.

I agree with both of you, I read this on the "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren.

True. It seems like my priorities are so jumbled right that I actually don't have a priority. And sometimes procrastination can be troubling as well, leaving out many oppertunities in life.

It's tough sometimes in trying to figure out God's will for us and what to do to make each day worth something. I myself try my best to search for an answer, but sometimes I miss out finding it.

pffffttttttt thats what I always thought the quote meant. Because you never know when you are gonna die

or maybe thats what it means. Maybe it has like 12 different meanings on the central focus of.... living... or something

nevermind, I'm confused
