Pin it up like an Anime character.
Maybe there is a unique hairstyle that you could use?
Like Risa Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist? That would look good. Or just try a totally different look. Those are my best ideas if your not gonna get an Anime looking haircut.

I remember on EBay someone was selling a Yu-Gi-Oh hair styling kit.....
Although I'm pretty sure that's not what you're asking for.

It requires a cut, but still...mullets rock. Everyone you know will dig it. I promise.

The only thing I can think of is to shave it.

There's Integra and Rip Van Winkle from Hellsing... (straight, or straight with crazy curly bangs)
There's Mishima and Quon from RahXephon... (straight with bangs, or long and wavy/curly)
Ginrei from Giant Robo... (long and worn down, or in a high ponytail)
Kirara from Samurai 7... (same as Mishima, but with that cute little hat thing)

Even in the coda to the finale when Qoun is shown as a baby she still has the same
hair style.

You could tie up the back and spike up the front like van from Zoids, but since that's a guy's thing, I guess you really wouldn't want it. Or do the big poofy thing that Fiona does with her hair, with the two bangs in the front. I guess it would require a good gelling every day, but go for it!

Milly from Trigun. Long, normal hair, but the bangs are kind of slanted upwards then down, like with hairgel, like kinda spiked but not exactly...*is frustrated at inability to explain*

Raquel from Scrapped Princess has fairly 'normal' hair, and Pacifica has long hair that she puts up. Pics below explain better.
Is this for normal hair or for a potential cosplay?

I manahged to get my hair to look like Edward Elric's a few times, I just suck at braiding, and then you could probally get Rose's hair style from FMA.

You could always go for the "Excel" look.
