uhh...i don't see this thread lasting long..^^;
A lot of people have this view dude... I am sorry to say but I am not sure about HP myself..I still have to read the book to find out what I think of them..but seriously... some do share this view and I sure some of those people are on this board...

This is beyond stupid. I make the choice to read Harry Potter cause i happen to be interested in learning about that stuff that is supposedly "teaching children about evil."
If some one wants to read Harry Potter then i'm sure that they know very well that it's not real. And if they're younger than 10 then why doesn't their parents explain it to them.
As to the Lord of the Ring's deal that is just as bad as Harry Potter. It has demon's, a ring of ultimate evil, a deformed Hobit that is obsessed with the ring, the former holder of the rings of power are probably undead.
(Do note that i'm not trying to make this an argument but saying why i think this is stupid beyond reason)
