God is awesome...

Ohh tonight..tonight, how should I describe it?
Kiba Kun and I work at this resturaunt. And it isn't a horrible job, unless we get totally slammed (a big rush of orders).
Tonight, however was different...I don't think horrible could even begin to describe what happened...it was more like "Boarderline Chaos."
Tonight the grill caught on fire. It was pretty large, the largest that the veterans I was working with had ever seen. This is my third week working at this place and I gotta tell you it was scary.
However, I truly believe that God was taking care of us. Because just as the fire started to get really bad, the manager comes in and he kind of lightens the scary/heavy moods of everyone by laughing.
One of our waitresses got this BRILLIANT Idea to smother the fire with Salt. (we might have had to break out the fire extinguisher if it weren't for that)
So..after nearly 15 minutes of working on the fire (which had eventually grown to the back of the grill...we managed to put it out!)
Thankfully there weren't many orders for Chicken or Beef Fajitas (which are usually cooked on THAT grill)
Right now, as serious as that was..I kinda look back and laugh..because not one hour before I noticed our fire extinguisher was lodged between 2 shelves. and I asked if we should move it.. and I was told it was fine there..(but it was pretty stuck)
So when the fire started I worked with the fire extinguisher and got it to come lose! ^^
I am just so thankful that it wasn't worse than it was...that we didn't have to evacuate the building and the night went on after that. The main cook was a little flustered and she has carpal tunnel in her wrist and she had to move all of the fajita pans (Pretty heavy/thick skillets) to the sink to wash all the salt off of them...)
So..yea... Sorry for the lenghty post...but I am just so relieved! ^_^
